As a season ticket holder living abroad, I thought that I would address the issues this raises.

1. Booking flight and hotel.
Obviously you want to book early to get the best prices, BUT the game can be moved. Here is what you need to know to avoid the inconvenience of moving flights hotel.

a. Make sure TV has not moved game.

These are provisional days for TV pick announcements: 25/26 season

August and September fixtures - 9 July (announced 23 July)

October - 20 August
November - 17 September
December and January - 15 October
February - 17 December
March - 21 January
April - 4 March
Match week 35 - 25 March
Match week 36 - 1 April
Match week 37 - 8 April
Match week 38 - Will be announced post-match week 37

This is a link to see what is showing on SKY TNT

b. Make sure there is not a UEFA match the week before (Saturday games move to Sunday)

When are the 2025/26 Conference League league phase matches?

  • Thursday, 2nd October (17:45 BST): Dynamo Kyiv (A)
  • Thursday, 23rd October (20:00): AEK Larnaca (H)
  • Thursday, 6th November (20:00 GMT): AZ Alkmaar (H)
  • Thursday, 27th November (20:00): RC Strasbourg (A)
  • Thursday, 11th December (20:00): Shelbourne FC (A)
  • Thursday, 18th December (20:00): KuPS KUOPIO (H)

Which means normally these games will be moved to Sunday unless hijacked by TV.

Brighton home (8/11) moved to 9/11 at 14h00
Man Utd home (29/11)
Man City home (13/12)
Leeds away (20/12)

Palace will now travel to Everton on Sunday, 5th October, kicking-off at 14:00 BST, with the fixture originally due to take place on Saturday, 4th October.

The Eagles' visit to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal also has a new date after it was originally scheduled for Saturday, 25th October.

That game will be played on Sunday, 26th October, kicking-off at 14:00 GMT.

Both matches will be broadcast live in the United Kingdom, via Sky Sports.

One more tip flying to Gatwick is by far the best bet, get a train to East Croydon (trains are from South Terminal), then change to Selhurst or Norwood Junction and follow the crowd.

At Gatwick don't waste time buying a ticket or Oyster card, just swipe your credit card entering and leaving stations.

For those arriving at Heathrow there is a bus service to West Croydon Bus station (stop B3) and East Croydon Dingwall Road (stop E8), the SL7. Here is the link to it's site.

SL7 Heathrow to Croydon

I'll update if I can think of anything else.

is there any indication/someone who knows when the Everton away match ko time will be confirmed. As is a Saturday 3pm ko but surely that will change with our Thursday match in Poland?

100% sure it will be moved, to the Sunday , the TV people haven't asked for it so it's just when the KO will be I would guess at 14h00.

Tks for the guidance. I usually go to Gatwick, but sometimes to Heathrow. If anybody has any ideas about how to go best from Heathrow to Croydon/Selhurst advices would surely be appreciated by those that don't go to Gatwick.

You will be best off getting to Victoria, via Paddington (overground) or the tube change at South Kensington.

The SL7 bus goes straight from east Croydon station (outside boxpark exit) to Heathrow airport. Have gotten it a few times. Runs 24 hours I think and every 20-30 mins

Don’t forget on Oct 12th the biometric system to enter the Schengen region begins when fingerprints and photographs will be needed under the new EES system, it will highly likely to become a shambles

From Heathrow

Queen Elizabeth line to Farringdon then change to overhead rail. Farringdon > East Croydon > East Croydon to Selhurst or Norwood Junction.

Tap in / out with bank card

Many thanks to everyone who provided information. It obviously came just in time, as WIZZ Air announced today that it will no longer offer daily flights between Vienna and Gatwick from October onwards.

Anyone travelling to Liverpool for Everton away?
You can fly to Liverpool John Lennon and then get the bus from out the front, it is less than a pound. Have some small change.
Do not get a taxi which is over twenty quid. You can easily get a bus to the ground from the centre. Stay in a Premier Inn. I believe there are two. There are plenty of Wetherspoons and other cheap pubs to eat and drink in. There is usually no segregation of supporters in pubs that I've ever seen anyway. I go away to Anfield regularly.
I haven't been to the new Everton ground but I suspect you can easily enough walk to it from the city centre. There's a nearby Premier Inn if my reckoning is correct.

Do not get off the train or bus at a station called Crystal Palace.

I have seen a few away fans do this, but fortunately there is a taxi office right outside the train station. Or get back on the bus/train and go to Selhust/Norwood junction

Tx and sorry, I should have made clear as in: travelling from the continent.

Have booked flights to/from Manchester on the day and renting a car. Going to be a bit pushed but really
wanted to go.

I looked up flights from Amsterdam and thought you could fly to Liverpool - but only on certain days and times. I couldn't be bothered to put the full details in. I'm presuming you can't fly direct to Liverpool easily.
Does the new stadium have parking?
