Was reading another post saying Wharton might be back sooner rather than later.
I started thinking about how excited I was back in the summer (before Olise left) and how good we might be this season.
We now know how that turned out but I have to say, OG has worked miracles, turning the likes of Hughes and Lerma into a formidable pair of quality midfielders, getting Maxence Lacroix up to speed so quickly that we hardly notice that Anderson has gone (I was sceptical but totally converted, Lacroix is quality), the emergence of Sarr as a threat, JPM back in form. All looking good and now we have what looks like a great young and exciting signing in Esse which has not broke the bank and most important of all… the prospect that a fit Wharton may be upon us. I can’t wait to see him back up to speed and playing again.
Even Kamada has looked better. If Eddie can start to score, well I will be one happy Eagle.
