Where do we go from here?

Assuming Sage is done where do people think we go from here?

I think we need to bring in a proven fire fighter now who can bring back some basic organisation to our play. We also need to build around a core of decent professionals and focus on being awkward to play against. It won’t be exciting but it might keep us up.

For me I’d go to a 4-5-1 formation. Back four of Mitchell, Lerma, Richards, ????? Midfield of Kamada, Wharton, Timber with Wharton sat a bit deeper. McNeil on the left, Sarr on the right if right in attitude, If not then take your pick from Osorio or Pino. JPM up front with JSL as a rotation option. Be basic focus on getting crosses in and trying to be solid.

We won't be changing formations unless we get a new manager in in my opinion.

We need to go back to everyone behind the ball. Pick up a few 0-0s and scrappy 1-0 wins off the backside of an opposition defender and then regroup.

Also hack off Europe.

You are right which is n fact one reason we absolutely should get a new manager
 
No matter somebody's resume, skill or character, it's not going to be pleasant behind the scenes with a start like that.
We're all willing to give Sage time but we havnt seen any improvement or even attempts at improving the issues, twelve ( ? ) games in and it's exactly the same as it was on day one.

Reluctantly I would say replace with somebody like Howe who is going to play more structured football and simply make sure people are doing their jobs correctly. Frank for example can't be expected to do that.

Stop the leaky defence, tread water til December, fire Hobbs, sign a leader for the defence, creep up the table.

Oh and send me a million quid.
 
Need to act fast as sage is not a prem manager likeable enough but not good enough blame parish and the board for hiring him and selling our best defender
Thomas Frank has worked with small funds and done well in the past or Eddie Howe but I don’t think they will be interested in us
 
I’d add to this. We now need to focus almost exclusively on premier league survival. Take a leaf out it Besiktas’ book who made 9 changes to play us. We need to have an eleven for Europe and keep our best (it’s all relative) eleven for league games. Let’s us see if any of the new signings can show they have anything to offer.

Even good teams struggle with the Thursday /Sunday routine. We are not a good team.

There is no way Howe will take on the job. He sees himself as a manager born of the future, not an a&e nurse like Dyche and Pullis.
 
I expect they are sounding out a few managers (on the quiet 🤫)
Will give Sage until the international break, then make a decision.
I base this on nothing, other than what I reckon.
They may have already sacked him, or offered him a contract extension ,for all I know.
