Villa drew 1-1 away when they met them in the Conference League stage back in 2023, beating them 1-0 at home a couple of months later. They are a tough nut to crack!

Villa went on to beat Lille in the QF before succumbing to the mighty Olympiacos 6-2 on aggregate in the SF.

I will go for a nervous 1-0 win to match the Villains, setting us up for a rematch vs Larnaca or possibly Mainz.

I have no idea why but the season has been so draining that I'm finding it hard to even care. If the players care, we might win. But I'm not seeing too much evidence of that. And if they can't care by earning in a week what I earn in a year , then why should I. The current club doesn't resemble the club I've always supported frankly. Can't wait for major playing staff and management changes. Our lot are the lazy Premier league players we trashed at the end of every season, now. We've had the flip flops on since Christmas.
This is a massive, massive shame as I doubt I'm the only jaded one. Jaded with Europe and the Premier League. Who'd have ever thought that?
Believe me or not, I won't care if we win the Europa Vanarama League. The joy has been taken out of it.

I think the issue with the players is more one of a lack of confidence than not caring. I'm hoping that the win will give them a bit of a confidence boost. After all, they started the Burnley game on the front foot after the Brighton win (yes I haven't forgotten the mad 7 minutes) and they may well start on teh front foot again tomorrow (without the mad 7 minutes).

I think we'll win and am going for 2-0.
