Makes sense, although Esse is off to Coventry, so is not in the squad. Was it Drakes-Thomas who played RCB/RWB before xmas & had a brilliant 20mins or so?
 
We have no bench and no proper right back.

Our chances of winning are something close to zero.
 
In recent years a banker but with 10 players out and out questionable home form it will be tough to get anything from this.

We are only about 2 weeks away from a stronger team. Be patient.

Should this be the actualite, I predict that my rump will part company from my seat and I shall head to the exit with some rapidity in a fit of pique.
I will patently refuse to subject myself to yet another abject defeat in sub-zero temperatures.
Our 'Home' form this season is abysmal.

My seat in my car will be warm, front heated seats set to the highest level as I head back to my abode with the match in its infancy.
 
We might (but I doubt) live with them for the first hour. Then they will make substitutions and win 3 or 4 nil. We will make 3 substitutions 3 minutes before the end with one or two after half time for injuries occurred :-(
 
A Villa win. Anything decent we do achieve is done by 60 minutes, from then on it is all plodding and the other team takes total control. Glasner should try 442 or 4411, even 451.
 
Even gaining a point will be an achievement.
Our success against Villa recently has been largely on the back of the play of Eze, Sarr and Munoz, in the case of the latter two due to their ability to exploit the gaps Villa leave down their left when pushing forward.
It may be that Johnson can similarly exploit spaces, but I am apprehensive about an out of position Devenny at RWB, and Canvot at right centre back against a bang in form Morgan Rogers.
 
They don't keep many clean sheets, so we might get chances. If we can improve our defending on set pieces, we might have an outside chance of getting something, but it will likely have to be a smash-and-grab performance. I don't know why (given everything is stacked against us), but I am going to back us to win ugly. 2-1. JP and Pino.
