Would Lacroix and Mateta make the England squad?

Neither made the current French squad even after withdrawals. Given that JPM's performances for Palace and in the Olympics have still not earned him a call-up, it is hard to see him ever getting a chance. Thuram and Ekitike are ahead of him and neither of them are in today's starting lineup. Lacroix is still only 25 so may have a chance , especially as France are changing manager after WC, I believe

However, it is easy to see them playing for England. Villa fans were saying how they wished JPM played for them after last w/e where Watkins was anonymous. He is also more like Kane in style in terms of dropping deeper and providing good link up play with wide players - which is not Watkin's forte. So would be a good sub not upsetting the team style
Lacroix would surely be even more a certainty. He would easily be the fastest defender, and is surely better than Burn and Chalobah. Plus he has the advantage of having played with Guehi, though they might lack some height if a back 4 was played
It's a shame that neither look likely to feature at the World Cup

yes, without a doubt, and Muñoz, Lacroix is better than Guehi
Munoz is a great shout - perfect successor to Walker. How good he is in a flat back four would be my only question although I think he'd shine there as well.

Lacroix I'm not sure. For similar reasons: players who play one way week in week out (back three) sometimes struggle bit in an international team playing another way. Guehi has excelled in that regard so maybe ML would be fine as well.

Mateta is one of the best number nines in the premier league so he'd be a shoe in for me.

Munoz, and Lerma presumably, will be at the World Cup with Colombia. The team ensured their participation with the recent 3-0 win over Bolivia
I see Olise scored for France, a coolly taken shot. 5 goals in 5 games this season and only 23 years old. cementing the argument that he is possibly the most talented player ever to turn out for Palace

I noticed our former French player had a nice goal today. He really is turning into one of the best players in the world. The good thing is because he took that one year extension (and didn't sign with another EPL team) I think there's nothing but goodwill toward him from our supporters.
