The executive management team had/ have a fundamental duty to ensure that all regulations are followed to enable the club to function effectively. We were still in the F.A. Cup and should have complied with the rules relating ownership. That Palace failed to do. It may have been to do with the changes to commercial management that caused the oversight. Nonetheless it happened and this action today acknowledges it. We failed and UEFA were right. On any other business the Chairman/ CEO would have taken the fall.

I found the following article this evening, hopefully correct and allows the cub to reshuffle and be better structured going forward.
It could give Steve Parish the time to focus on other matters, namely the stadium development. Perhaps also gives Glasner room to breath and who knows at the end of the season, maybe he is as mad as us and decides to stay another year

I've chatted to Sharon a few years back, she organised the CPFC Beer festival before leaving. Lovely lady, but boy her career has come on then.

Oh of course the pure angelic UEFA.

Not at all Angelic - in the pocket of the clubs with money. BUT we should have done our due diligence and made sure we played by the rules. You do not enter a competition that might lead to a big prize without following the rules. We did not.
No one could have made Dextor comply, only he could do that if he wanted to.
So what are you saying? We should not have played in the FA Cup in case we won it?

Parish could not have forced Textor to put his shares into a blind trust. Winning the FA Cup and Lyon being in the same competition was a 5000 to 1 shot. All of it was Textor's responsibility. Glad he has gone. The blind trust thing is a farce, it was only a temporary thing for last season. Not sure what UEFA will do this season, no doubt they will come up with a rule that means when we win the Conference league we get don't get a Europa place because rules and they want some other big club to have our place.

She's come a long way from managing The Crystals!
