The 10th Holmesdaleship FPL season finally came to an end in May, with three teams in the chase for the title.

Mateta-Morphosis and Olivers Army had excellent seasons both winning 25 games apiece, and topping the 70-point mark with 76 and 75 points respectively.

However, with a very fine 26-1-11 record, it was Palace Cowboys who claimed this year’s crown with 79 points. Their outstanding total of 2514 Gameweek points was also just one short of the league record of 2515 set by cpfc reserves in 2021/22. Another brilliant season from one of the league’s most consistent performers.

The 2481 recorded by Roy’s Shnake Army and 2406 from Antingham Stanley were also phenomenal totals, and the only others over 2400 this season. They probably deserved higher finishes than 5th and 8th, but should be proud of their elite-level displays this term.

There were 22 scores of 100+ Gameweek points, with Do me a lemon! recording the highest of the season with a massive 160 in GW26. This was just 3 points short of the record of 163 set by Pride of South London in 2021/22, so a big well done to Do me a lemon! who also finished a very respectable 4th overall.

The array of original team names is always part of the fun of FPL, and it was great to see so many from past seasons returning this year. My personal favourite this time though was Eze does it - because this year, he did!

Thank you to everyone for your support this season, and to all those who have taken part in the league over the past 10 years. Looking forward to next season already (maybe even more than usual!), and I hope to see you back again for more FPL fun very soon.

Nice of you to say so, James! I really appreciate the support..

There's a very good standard of FPLing in the league, so 15th isn't bad going at all. Spurs only finished 17th in their league, but still had a great season anyway! You'll always find a few positives if you look hard enough, and a real-life trophy win is a pretty good place to start.
