No multi-club to see here. Move along please. Surprised UEFA didn't decide to promote them both to the Champions League just for being such well run clubs.

Over the past 18 months there’s been a run of transfers between Forest and Textor’s Eagle Football Holdings clubs (mainly Lyon and Botafogo), despite Forest not being part of that network. At the same time reporting in Brazil and elsewhere shows that Marinakis has been financing Textor’s attempt to spin Botafogo (and possibly RWDM) into a new Cayman Islands holding structure. The idea is for Textor to remain majority owner with Marinakis taking a minority stake.

Textor has already tried to move Botafogo receivables into a Cayman vehicle and line up a €100m loan secured against club revenues. This is all happening while Eagle’s backers (Ares and Iconic) are suing him - they can see what an unscrupulous shark he is.

So while UEFA can only really police clubs it recognises as connected for competition eligibility, what’s unfolding here goes far deeper. Palace have been royally spit roasted in the process, demoted down the European ladder while Forest, Lyon and Botafogo shuffle players and money around as the corporate structure gets rearranged offshore.

Whatever label you stick on it, it shows there is much more to that clown Textor and his fat b’tard mate Marinakis than just a few transfers.
