All dressed up and nowhere to go

I rather hastily (stupidly) jumped on the away leg tickets for Fredrikstad and now have 2 tickets but upon looking at travel websites, it appears there are no reasonably priced flights or hotels either in the area or in Oslo central.

I'll be spending the evening looking at various different methods (renting a large vehicle that can be slept in, going to Stockholm instead etc) but fundamentally all routes look fruitless thus far.

Has anyone else had the same problem and found a relatively cost effective solution? Failing that, I guess I have 2 tickets going for anyone that sorted flights and accommodation ahead of time!

There must be trains and a good sleeping bag possibilities?

If you can get a flight to Copenhagen, you can take the overnight ferry to Oslo, and thereby save the cost of a hotel room. i think the ferry is just north of £100.

If your efforts come to nothing, I'd be in the market for a ticket if I can't get one tomorrow.

The website says tickets are not transferable and anyone found doing it will be banned for all future away Europe games!!

Have you looked in Sarpsborg (20 - 25 minutes by train) or Moss?

Thanks for all the suggestions. Small update, accommodation is no longer a problem. I just can’t seem to get a reasonably priced way home (I’m happy to take a connection flight) but nothing on the Friday or Saturday it seems. I only want to go Wednesday-Friday just for the Palace game. Been to Norway plenty of times and dont need to spend the money on a full holiday there. Ho hum, the joys of European away days I guess. Lesson learned you have to pre-empt before confirmations it seems.
