I grew up with Palace if the 90s so I had all the joys of playing with another Premier League team (pretending that they were Palace) on games consoles, either hoping of making the play-offs or avoiding relegation each year, not having ever heard of our signings, being surrounded by glory hunting kids (or Millwall fans in Lewisham), financial/existential trouble, weekday losses to the likes of Walsall and Swindon (no offence to either), praying for the insanity of spending more than one season in the prem etc. etc.

It’s so cliched of course, and there will be so many more (least of all on here) who have seen so much more, but for all the lack of signings, European fiasco, will they/wont they players leaving, small squad, injuries, finger pointing, ‘will Glasner walk?’ chatter, this is an incredible time to be a Palace fan.

Winning both the FA Cup and Charity Shield, against the two biggest teams in the country (including the Champions who’ve spent hundreds of millions this summer) and a European season upcoming really is DREAMLAND stuff. In fact, I never really dreamed of these heights.

Still plenty of apprehension ahead of the new season, we desperately need some signings, but whilst it’s surreal I’m trying to appreciate this moment in our history and may just dare to keep dreaming.

Never thought i would see this, my dad, bless his heart, passed away 18 months ago, hope he can get a signal, up or down, 😢

No matter what the CAS decision , surely it doesn’t matter. I was born so close to Selhurst park ,many many seasons back, I never had any other team, from 3rd South onwards it didn’t matter, winning any minor trophy was massive, winning the big trophies was nothing more than a pipe dream. Yet here we are in just a few months beating the two most recent league Champions to win two of the top trophies in the land after all those years even beyond my many decades. It’s bloody unbelievable, so UEFA , CAS, who cares what they do ,after all those years we are here so let’s get on with it.

I went to buy fishing tackle in Edinburgh last week and happened to be wearing a t shirt with the Palace badge on it. The guy behind the counter said “I should refuse to serve you”. When I asked him why he pointed to the badge and said “I’m an Arsenal fan” to which I replied “ “I wondered why you looked so miserable”.
I never thought I’d see the day when a Gooner would be jealous of a Palace fan. 2 trophies to nil. Great days indeed!

You should have mentioned Rob Holding and told him to stick his tackle up his Heart of Midlothian.
