Finally ticked the Selhurst Park stadium tour off the list and… why did I wait so long? £25 well spent – cheaper than a pie and pint these days (almost).

Jane, our guide, was brilliant – proper Palace through and through. She had us all buzzing with stories, and I’ll admit I may have got a bit emotional walking out of the tunnel to Glad All Over. Seeing the FA Cup up close didn’t hurt either!

Took my 5-year-old and was worried he might get restless, but he loved every second – and now won’t stop showing everyone his certificate like he’s signed for the club.

If you haven’t done it yet, stop faffing and book yourself in. Absolute belter of a day out.

Going in October with my eldest grandson. Never bothered before, but I thought it would be great for him to see the FA Cup and inside the Main Stand before it is eventually pulled down.
