Can the women stay up?

Next week's game at Everton will go some way in answering that question. The new manager seems to have tightened things up defensively. We ideally need 3 points in the next game given that 3 of the remaining other 5 games are against teams we are unlikely to get any points from (i.e. Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City..

Given the men's team for once isn't in any relegation bother, we can now enjoy the women providing the excitement on the staying up front. Today's result was a must, now can they do it in the final remaining games?

The EPL was hogged at the top by the rich 6. I read that, until Chelsea had that recent bad year, not one of them had finished in the bottom half of the modern EPL!

But recent seasons have shown the league may be finally coming of age. Currently only 4 with a chance of ECL qualifying (not certainty), 2 floundering, while others like Forest Newcastle and Villa muscle in to their hegemony.

The WSL is still evolving. A handful of the usual suspects dominating the top, with the rest disposable whipping girls. Survive and we can evolve with the league (as the men have done) as the quality of the also-rans slowly improves to make it less of an annual coronation.

The ladies are going to go on a winning run now, and get well away from the drop zone. I reckon the next few matches will be well worth a watch.
