    Steve Brennan

Does anyone know where Steve played in the latter stages of his career? I know he briefly went to Plymouth Argyle in 1978 and then to non-league Leatherhead in 1979. But I don't know how long he stayed at Leatherhead or where else he played non-league football. Any help would be gratefully...

Sale of the Whitehorse Lane end to Sainsbury's in 1980

All I have read is that Sainsbury's paid £2 million for the land and that, allegedly, not much (if any) of that found its way into the club's bank account. As far as anyone here knows, is that correct? And can anyone provide some more information for me? Thank in advance.

Team photo from the start of 1980/81 season

I recognise most of them but I'd appreciate some help with a few. Aplogies for the poor quality of the photo, but it's the best I could find.

    Great footage from 1976

I really enjoyed this. It's part of an ITV documentary from 1976 about a very young Vince Hilaire, and this section shows a pre-season match in the Netherlands.

    Chris Sparks

Chris Sparks was part of the team that won the FA Youth Cup in 1978, but I don't think he went on to play for the First Team at all. Does anyone know a bit about him? Where did he come from? Or where did he go on to play his football after leaving Palace? Thanks in advance.

Team photo from the start of 1974/75

I've identified most of the players, but I'm not sure of the one in the back row between Paul Hammond and Stewart Jump. Maybe Jeff Johnson? Or maybe a very young David Swindlehurst? And I have no idea who the assistant coach on the right of the picture is. Any help would be gratefully...

    Youth Team from 1977/78

Can anyone please help me identify all of the players in the attached photo? I'm fine with Murphy, Fenwick, Fry and Gilbert in the back row. Likewise Hilaire and Nicholas in the front row. Maybe Steve Mackenzie is second from the left in the front row? And I think Steve Lovell is next to...

    Dave Swindlehurst

I always rated him highly and remember him scoring some vital goals, especially when we were promoted to the First Division in 1979. I was recently reminded that Terry Venables allowed him to move to Derby County in February 1980, which seemed very odd to me. Does anyone here know the story...
