    The Donald Trump thread

Every advanced economy — including socially conservative ones — has experienced declining fertility. Japan, South Korea, Hungary etc. all have very low birth rates despite weak feminist movements or governments explicitly opposed to them. The strongest predictor of fertility decline is...

Danny Imray - On Loan to Blackpool

Agree with this - I'm very sceptical about whether he can make the step-up at this stage, but given the lack of alternatives it's got to be worth a try.

Danny Imray - On Loan to Blackpool

Can't imagine we have pulled him out of a promising loan for any reason other than to try him in the first team, which is exciting. But I also hope it doesn't mean we won't sign proper cover for Munoz.

    Villa v Maccabi

Do we really still need to speculate as to whether Maccabi fans are violent? Given all of the recent examples, I don't think we need to keep up the pretence that they're not. I don't know why the police chose to follow the path they did, but I suspect they were very conscious that any action...

There’s no way you’re this dumb!? Surely!?

    Villa v Maccabi

Way to beat the tabloid allegations 🤣.

    Villa v Maccabi

Incorrect - you should read the article I shared above which could educate you as to why. But you won’t, because you have little interest in challenging your flawed worldview, and frankly it’s probably a few too many words for your little tabloid brain.

    Villa v Maccabi

Genuinely, I don’t know if you are thick or just deliberately misrepresent, but it’s pathetic how often you just make things up. I’m not supporting the police, and have just today described their actions as ‘moronic’. It’s not a thread about corrupt policing - it’s a thread about Maccabi...

    Villa v Maccabi

You'd have to step outside for me to say it anywhere else, which doesn't seem to happen often.

No, you're just thick and rude.

And as ever, no comment on the actual post you reply to, just noise.

    Villa v Maccabi

I think it was moronic and unnecessary.

    Farewell Eze?

Yep, the WC place seems the biggest waste of it all to me - I can get the argument that he'll win some medals and earn a bit more at Arsenal, but it was an enormous risk in a WC year, and as things stand I don't think he's going... Morgan Rogers didn't move this summer, remains his team's...

    Farewell Eze?

It is a good example to highlight the state of the sport at the moment - Arsenal spend nearly £70m on Eze and within weeks he’s resigned to the bench. That’s not a criticism of the player, but a reminder of how broken the financial balance is. For us, £70m is a fee I can't even imagine us...

    Is Glasner the problem?

I partly agree - I think he is fairly wedded to his system, and agree it does not look nearly as effective against teams who give us the ball. But I think we've only had two bad runs in the two years he's managed us; the games at the start of last season, and the games over the last month or so...

    Is Glasner the problem?

Amazing overlap between this and the more recent 'Glasner Out' thread - more or less all of the same criticisms were levelled at Glasner early last season, and we all know how that story ended. People never learn.

    Glasner Out

Is it not more to do with the fact that the back ups you mention are nowhere near good enough? Centre midfield is probably the only position where we have quality depth, and Glasner has not been shy in rotating between those 4 over the course of the last two seasons - it doesn’t seem his issue...
