    Reform

So you don't believe the data, and you don't believe lived experiences if they don't align with your preconception. Yet you're sat there pretending to care about honesty and reality :ROFLMAO: The tabloids have such a hold.

    Reform

I've lived in London for the last 30 years - my experience is that it's a much safer place now than it was 15 years ago.

    US Politics

You've cherry-picked a few statements which are broadly true, but it's not a convincing argument as to Trump's innocence to anyone but those cultishly obsessed with the man. 'He happened to be President when Epstein finally got arrested, so now I can disregard all of the evidence connecting him...

    Yeremy Pino

There's been flashes of talent, definitely. But talent is not always enough!

    Yeremy Pino

He's played 30 games for us now and been incredibly underwhelming - nothing wrong with admitting that. I still think there's a reasonable chance he comes good, but I think question marks at this stage are more than fair!

I don't really understand why you frame so much of your argument around perceived bias and double standards of others, when you yourself would surely admit you're a massive Trump fan and not coming at any topic involving him from a place of objectivity? None of us are truly objective, but it...

    Allan Saint-Maximin

I don't even think he makes a top 100 for that! 12 goals and 19 assists in just over 100 Prem appearances - not bad at all. But no, I wouldn't want him now.

    Evann Guessand

Watching some highlights of Guessand, one thing I do think he's going to offer, which we have been sorely missing since Eze's departure, is the ability to receive the ball with a defender on his back and turn into space - Pino is too weak to pin the man so often looks to release it first time...

I’m also certain that this and the Mateta deal will have been agreed alongside each other - don’t think there’s any way we make this kind of outlay without a sale first. I’m not sure we’ve ever been sailing particularly close to the wind in regard to financial regulations.

I wouldn't be surprised if Uche is sent back to Getafe before the end of the month, assuming these new deals get over the line. There's certainly no chance we buy him as things stand.

That isn't really my point. My point is that all of those you mentioned; centre halves who play in a 3, attacking full backs, inside forwards, can all also find homes in conventional systems as well.

    Very true!

Agree - it's also about who we can actually recruit and attract mid-season. Most clubs are not going to entertain selling a starting striker on the 29th January.

Good players are good players - I think people have really fixated on the manager point on our recruitment, but I think it's overstated. Barring proper specialists like Munoz, the vast majority of players, particularly attackers and forward players, can be accommodated in a huge variety of systems.

    Jørgen Strand Larsen

We're definitely overpaying, but I think he's a good player and a good fit for us. This season has obviously gone a bit wrong, but his career before that is quite impressive; - top scorer and POTY for Gronigen in the Dutch top flight - top scorer for Celta in La Liga - top scorer for Wolves in...

Definition of stupid, taking a gun and confronting law enforcement

It's not coincidence we've seen the defenders of ICE's conduct talking about Charlie Hebdo, Epstein, Rotherham Rape Gangs, Owen Jones, Iran, Charlie Kirk, Islamists, woke, looney leftists and just about everything else. Just pure distortion of a very obvious reality.

Wow, what a scoop! Forget the shooting, this is the real story.

Definition of stupid, taking a gun and confronting law enforcement

Just to be clear on this, is your view that the killing of Ashley Babbit was not justified, but this one was? I don’t think it’s credible to suggest a floored man surrounded and covered by multiple armed officers could have realistically been at risk of grabbing someone’s gun.

Definition of stupid, taking a gun and confronting law enforcement

Yeah quite - point one is exactly that; given how politicised everything is in America, I don't have much faith that whatever investigation takes place is going to be particularly neutral. But secondly, given the availability of so much footage and imagery of what happened, I'm just interested...

Definition of stupid, taking a gun and confronting law enforcement

In what way am I 'so keen to focus on the shooting'? I've probably made less than 10 posts in this thread, most of which have been today because it's a slow day at work. I couldn't say 100%, but I'm not even sure I've posted at all about this topic before yesterday. Nor am I particularly...
