Glasner also indicated that the ‘reset’ button has been pressed on Esse with an acknowledgement that to date the work with him has not proved fruitful. Glasner himself takes some responsibility for this. I think Esse is set for a spell with the younger squad to get his mojo back and will be...

West Ham have some match winners and I am expecting a close game. I do not think we have clicked yet post Eze and Sarr has been a huge loss. Wharton is back and possibly starts, Eddie back on the bench adds an option in the final 10mins. I am going with a positive 0-1 palace

Not sure about this one. Wharton is unlikely to start, so we could be a bit short of passing in midfield. Mateta is not getting the supply he is used to and that has to be addressed. Our goal threat is currently reduced. With our usual back 5, we can be confident of conceding very little, so...

Stats, I know but, really, my eyes tell me that Hughsie gets in there and tackles. Do my eyes deceive me?

Opinions of course, but I disagree, and could cite the same reason. I think the passing is miles better with Wharton and Hughes. So think Kamada and Wharton are out best partnersip. Both can take the ball on the half turn, both can take the ball under pressure, and both can turn defence...

That's a fair enough summation. For me there's an element of disappointment with Kamada since he was apparently OG's choice and as a player he knew and had worked with I, for one, was hoping for, even half expecting, some sort of hidden gem who would have an instant impact, and score a few...

Perhaps a defeat for W.Ham will signal the departure of Potter. I do not envisage them losing to us. We do not possess that 'Cutting edge' in attack when Wharton and Sarr are not in the team.

If all our players were fit, and I was selecting the team, my midfield pairing would be Wharton and Hughes. This is not a criticism of Kamada but more an observation that the team's passing rhythms are better when Hughes and Wharton play, they combine better and seem to have an implicit...

Nice summing up, mate, in my opinion. My heart bled for Esse; he just looked like his confidence was shot to pieces. It's a shame because I sense that there is a real talent there. It may be that a loan may help to rebuild him and allow him to learn the game a little more. He looks like he...

...it. He finds space when attacking and covers space when we’re defending. He sees a pass as well as Hughes although neither is as good as Wharton at seeing and executing one. He has a decent shot and is a threat in the box, but is also capable of winning the ball back defensively. As I say he...

Agree, its so boring the slating he gets. Dislodge the partnership. He already has. Started alongside Wharton in our most important games, (semi, final comm shield etc). He only plays as one of the 10's because of injuries.

...the end of the season, he started looking like he belonged more, which is encouraging. Right now, there's no way he's a better option than Wharton/Hughes. But I would be thrilled if he starts playing well enough to dislodge that partnership...which he's showing signs of. Anyway, bored of...

You can do this with Sarr in the number 10 role running off Mateta , but not with Kamada, Wharton and perhaps Pino too. They are inclined to run back towards the ball and link play rather than run in behind as Sarr does. I'm hoping Uche will be able to do this too as we need more options. With...

...against Liverpool hes a professional footballer for god sake , needs to grow up and prove OG wrong but I cant see that happening , Canvot looks good for a young CB hopefully he keeps improving more , so with Wharton back , Sarr not far behind things are shaping up well , 16 and counting , COYP
