    Humble pie over Parish anyone?

You are deluded. There are no like for like replacements for a number of positions. As you mention Munoz, but also Mateta, Wharton and Lacriox, the spine of the team. I also think the 2 No10s are difficult to replace. Yes we can play alternatives but they are not not good enough. Eddie N is a...

C'mon Steve.......nail Ollie down before it's too late!

You are viewing them in the way they play where they are. Look what happens when you place their players elsewhere. Ta da!

C'mon Steve.......nail Ollie down before it's too late!

I'd like to see you justify that. especially in our formation I'd take Fernandez - minus his attitude - over Pino and probably Yoro over Richards. At a stretch, Mainoo to partner Wharton but he would need to show he can improve athletically That's it

    Humble pie over Parish anyone?

Our squad is not paper thin at all. The only position we dont have a back up is right full back. If Munoz got injured we would struggle but we still have a couple of players that can fill in there. Plus with Riad due back in approx a month (according to OG) we'll even have both him AND Canvot...

    How far can we go?

Getting much better. Riad and Doucoure suffered really bad injuries, but we hardly missed Wharton, Sarr and Nketiah.

C'mon Steve.......nail Ollie down before it's too late!

My dream is Glasner Guehi Wharton Devenny and Mateta all stay. In fact the whole squad manager coaches AND the board. We are looking in very good shape now. Hard to see where we need any extras.

I don't want to detract from our attacking masterclass, as we exploited their set-up - they play a high line with relatively slow centre halves; just put that ball in behind van Dijk and Bob's your uncle...

...we don't create bundles of chances - usually a few decent ones. I had to pinch myself how easily we were opening up Liverpool. Kamada and Wharton are a very good midfield patnership and Pino is happy to feed Mitchell which as others have said is giving us a threat on both flanks ( Eze tended...

    Humble pie over Parish anyone?

That is the same with almost every team in the world. IMO we dont have a paper thin squad

    Humble pie over Parish anyone?

...a concern now that we will start playing in Europe this week. We know we have a very good starting X1, but it essentially picks itself (with Wharton's partner probably the only debate). We can't play the same team every Thursday and Sunday and of course we will get the odd injury. Similarly...

Three days on and still buzzing. We were so so good! Credit to Slot for acknowledging it. Guehi or Wharton my MOTM but honestly everyone was great (yes, even Kamada had some good moments.) Genuinely believe we could do a Leicester….!

...football club. And how effective we have been in the January window previously when others spent all they had in the summer. Think of Wharton and Munoz two winters ago. SP is as much a Crystal Palace fan as you and I, people need to remember that. He wants the best, equally to us, not less...

    Humble pie over Parish anyone?

Yep, that can end up being worth more what Liverpool offering. Definitely more than what they were offering minus what someone might pay in January.

    Humble pie over Parish anyone?

...it sent a message that we're not going to roll over when it comes to losing our best performers. At the moment it's more or less inevitable that Wharton will leave but the way we're shaping up the club is becoming more attractive for players to stay. At least those not at the peak of demand.

I would also add Pino Henderson Guehi Wharton Devenny. The list is long. Glasner sprinkles stardust on all of them. Furthermore they all seem to positively respond to his methods. Glasner and his coaches are very special

    How far can we go?

Could not agree more. Given our squad depth and the propensity for some players to pick up injuries (Wharton; Kamada; Sarr; early days but I suspect Pino) I think we absolutely do need to take it one game at a time, get points on the board and enjoy the ride.

Wharton off. Must be something wrong with him. Kamada is the one we needed to go off. Ref has been poor second half clearly favoring Liverpool.

It is kind of how fans of 'top 6' teams must feel going into big games. Lots of positive feelings looking down the list of players, looking at form, looking at confidence and determination. No one is saying we'll definitely win but it feels like we have as good a chance of winning this game as...
