I do love an optimist, that's Palace fans always hoping the future will be brighter. 😀

You can accept what you like. Release clauses can come with having to pay the full fee immediately.I'm sorry i don't accept this. Yes we have clearly got longer payment terms and some of the money is in add ons, so not guaranteed, but to pay c50% more than the widely reported £22.5m release clause, only a few weeks after it expired seems very odd.
It has desperation written all over it.
We knew there would be loads of interest in Eze this summer so surely we must have had a short list of options, even if we didn't want to buy until the Eze deal was concluded.
This week we have bid for a FC Brugge player a day or so before they have a Champions League qualifier and are considering a bid for Tyler Dibling a week after Everton had a £40m offer rejected. Our recruitment this summer has been woeful
I reckon this is just filling in the blanks with guess work. It looks clear that a deal could well be agreed in principle but it also looks clear that no deal is even close for Eze to Spurs so, either one deal is dependent on the other happening which means Palace might walk away from this if Spurs dont come up with what we want. Alternatively, if these two potential deals are not dependent on each other we might end up with Eze AND this lad which I'd imagine will make Glasner a very happy man.

I agree with the release clause comment, but strange negotiating tactics to add 50% on to get longer terms. 10% i can accept. You can accept what you like. Release clauses can come with having to pay the full fee immediately.
I can't comment on the quality of our recruitment generally because the window is still open, and I don't know what has gone on behind the scenes or the precise financial limitations we have.
Neither do you.
Obviously, I'm sure we were all hopeful of retaining our best players and improving the squad.
Dibling probably rated higher? The price Southampton are asking though is bonkers. If this sale goes through, we are buying who was already the highest valued player in the championship.
He was second place valued.Dibling probably rated higher? The price Southampton are asking though is bonkers.
Yes, Eze gone, replaced by a younger cheaper model in El wotsitDoes anybody believe our squad at the conclusion of the 'Window' will be stronger than it is at present?
Read that and then the music popped in my head. Da da da der da….. or something like that 😂I'll only accept what Stefan Boreoffson or Fabricatio Romano say. They are truly the font of all knowledge. They were Indiana Jones's first appointments when looking for the grail. Insightful and knowledgeable.

With about 10 days to go the answer Willo is: IT MUSTDoes anybody believe our squad at the conclusion of the 'Window' will be stronger than it is at present?
The bigger question is whether the referees will be any stronger!Does anybody believe our squad at the conclusion of the 'Window' will be stronger than it is at present?
They'll all be injured by then.BTW Morocco are hosting the Afcon in 2026, so potentially we will lose 2 of our front three for 6 weeks in Jan/Feb.
Great planning
I knew someone would bite. Just
look at the stats, 13 goals and 7 assists last year for Sarr. Would Olise have provided the same output for Palace regardless of his ability? For what he cost Sarr is better value for money.
