Should've listend to the ref, wasn't for a foul or a pushImagine training your ass off to be at your physical best, and it gets punished in a game for being physically stronger than the opposition. absolute bull.
But he pushed him sideways - so either he was already less than 1 mtr or he was never less than......Half a second later and it wouldve been a goal, Guehi wasn't standing 1m from the wall, him pushing Caicedo around led to it just as the ball was struck
Is this a new rule? I hadn’t heard of it before, and it’s not in the FAs list of rule changes for this year. For those saying foul, listen to what the ref said. Guehi was less than 1m from the wall when the kick was taken, its an infringement not a foul. Ignore the muppts on sky sports who didnt listen to him.
Unfortunately you cant be less than 1m from the wall, its just how the laws are so not a goal...
This is true but why allow the kick to be taken in the first place?
In soccer, when a defensive wall of at least three players is formed during a free kick, attacking players must stand at least one meter away from the wall until the ball is in play. If an attacker encroaches within that meter, an indirect free kick is awarded to the defending team, according to TheFA.com. This rule was implemented to prevent disruptions and delays caused by attackers standing too close to the wall, according to The IFAB.
just read the reason after commenting, I couldn't hear the ref due to sh*te quality streamShould've listend to the ref, wasn't for a foul or a push
And we're the 1st premier league side to be kicked out the europa league........ spotting a theme!!!!!Your right . First time I've ever seen that rule enforced though
Nothing new, been in the laws for years, just never enforced because majority of free kicks are over the bar or saved. If that happens then not point pulling it up, just play.Is this a new rule? I hadn’t heard of it before, and it’s not in the FAs list of rule changes for this year.
It was implemented in 2019. Anyone remember it ever being enforced?Does this apply to the Premier league? I don't see that rule listed.
If so then why for years are opposition allowed in the walls and ref should be not allowing free kick to begin with approaching Guehi.
It's BS
Hes in the wall when eze takes it, wasn't when eze started his run up thoughBut he pushed him sideways - so either he was already less than 1 mtr or he was never less than......
Especially quick with yellows for our guys.Chelsea need to up their game here. The Ref is doing all the hard work!

Dont mean to sound like that, people just getting worked up, we've been done over a lot recently but just saying calm down because this isnt one of those moments. Just a law that never gets used because you rarely see FKs scored anymoreYou are in the wrong Place you sound like a Chelsea fan.
Off next one surelySo no yellow for james ......

Not nonsense at all, its your fault if you dont know how the laws are appliedMore nonsense from you.
You don't have to score if that is the rules it should be enforced all the time you can't just select when you want to choose to use them.
