No surprise here. The government has no idea of who is here or has overstayed.
In 2017? Mrs May said there were 3.5m EU citizens in the UK who will be offered residency. When the scheme ended 3 years later over 5m had been granted the right to stay. It says it all.
If the government can be so wrong about people who are here legally and not hiding what chance is there they are hopeless about people who have arrived illegally or overstayed.
Tories must take the main blame but then again what did Blair do when he was in power. Other countries count em in and out.
