Rachel Reeves

Never mind Rachel, he's got big ears anyway.......

Markets changing because of a chancellors few tears?

God help us from markets (except Penge fruit and veg).

Bonkers.

😎

So literally no economic reason then.

Politics in this country is a circus.

It's all a circus. Once you accept that, it makes more sense. Somebody dies, you cry. Your football team get relegated, you cry. Lassie dies in a film, you cry. But you don't cry on a political front bench because of hurty words.

Reeves never fit for purpose, lied and embellished her CV, lauded by Starmer because of her gender.

Already done severe damage to the economy, she has to go.

Did she shed tears for freezing pensioners or the farmer who killed himself?

Hopefully her replacement has more intellect and grasp of basic economics.

Symbolises the nation will be in tears by the time this lot have finished.

I've looked at the videos and photos, yet to see one where she is crying. Doesn't look happy certainly but not crying. Is there anything showing her actually crying?

It appears that Starmer didn't notice (he was addressing the house) that she was distressed. What was he supposed to do. One of the wimin on the Mail suggested he should have given her a hug, yeah right that would have gone down well with the sistas.

Politics is a tough dirty game, sorry Rachel but if your tears* are work related you've let yourself and the rest of the wimin down.

*Not sure why some are saying she wasn't crying. I have seen video and stills you can see the tears rolling down her face.

While a hug would have looked a bit weird in the circumstances, he could have reiterated that she was his Chancellor for the length of this Parliament - an opportunity he elected not to take.

I think it's a question of when rather than if she goes.

And when she does go, Starmer will have nobody to hide behind - he'll be the next one.

Twas ever thus. When the PM is in trouble it's the Chancellor that normally gets the sack. Trouble is it rarely works as people see through that one.

Would that be like the 'vote of confidence' from the football club board just before they sack the manager?
