he will be able to do TV interviews in native English & Spanish. That will be a first. That's 1.5 Billion people. With a French dad and an Italian mother. Fluent also in Portuguese. Wow, the linguistics are impressive - not in terms of how many languages, but in terms of how big those World languages are. Popes usually are polyglots - but this will be the first one with excellent English. He can read German & Latin too.

I am devout Catholic and I did not agree with some of things the last pope said and did.

Nothing wrong with differing views Dan.

An extreme Conservative or extreme-Liberal would have been a disaster. This fella is feted as a compromise.

He is from Chicago.......previously home of the Blues Brothers. Currently riddled with gun crime.

Not at all 👍🏻 it is possible to be a Catholic and practice your faith while not being a fan of the pope or parts of the church.

well then you must be following the wrong religion. My political belief precludes throwing gays off of high buildings......if my head of religion disagreed with me, i would politely hold my counsel.
