Semi Final Match Thread

I didn't suggest that either, I said he's a better player.

Look, just FO U Bell I'm not interested in your petty fanbois attack just because Kamada played to the standard that we actually expected of a £100k per week player, once, and neither is anyone else.
You like to dish it out but can't take it.Bless. 🙂

I'm thinking along the same lines. If we win the Cup and finish in the top half of the league, why would a player (or manager come to that) want to go to another club that doesn't have the same spirit or support?

Let's hope Mr Parish rewards all of them appropriately. Sod the new stand, I'd prefer to keep the whole team together.
My thoughts exactly. Why go to Spurs or Manure who are well below us in the table with no great team spirit or capable manager and may well finish below us next season

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!

The whole day has been amazing and something both my sons and I will cherish!

My missus thinks she saw us on TV, so looking forward to watching the game again tomorrow.

Players were magnificent - but oh, it must be said….after so much criticism…not sure if it was highlighted on TV, but Kamada was amazing! Wharton was tackling like Hughes!!

End of the game, did they show Mateta with the scarf around his head…a real legend
Having been a long time critic of Kamada I am very happy that he is finally proving me wrong. Think he has been great in last couple of games and seems to be getting how to play in the premiership. Glad to eat humble pie and say I got it wrong

Never been prouder of this club. It’s our year.
It is indeed. {Just pray to God it's our one too.} Btw, Eddie's come on the bench and got a cup winners medal already. Would love him to do it again after giving his all for us during the post-Wenger madness.

That header he scored for you against us the time before. Woof. We never knew he could do that.

And has been excellent in both. It looks like Wharton and Kamada is the preferred midfield pairing for Glasner, I guess he knows what is best for the team.

He wasn't excellent versus Arsenal though, he was fine. And today he did some good play, such as his setup on the back stick, and that jinky run, but he also mistimed quite a few challenges that could've caused us problems.

Glasner picks the side, it's his opinion, but there's no question that Hughes has been a better player for us this season.

Post match conference

He was amusing on the BBC red button coverage when they interviewed him pitch side. They asked about his almost run to the corner flag at our end after the third goal went in, and although I couldn't catch everything he said, it seems he has been carded by a referee before for leaving the 'box', and since he's already on a yellow **(what the heck was that for?), he suddenly realised that he could end up red carded for the final, which is why he did the sudden about-face and ran back to his place.

** apparently he did go to the corner to celebrate against N'castle and got a yellow for it.

Since I live near Birmingham, I was on the train home with Villa fans. They were so resolutely beaten that they seemed in shock… barely a comment made all the way back.

Admit after going to the 5-0 defeat up in Newcastle, winning the semi final was feeling a long-shot… but this is Crystal Palace. A vast improvement at Arsenal and then a great team performance today to outplay Villa. Just need to brush up on the penalty taking before the final.

Left 5 mins b4 end to avoid crush..but saw several fights breaking out on wembley way...never know who's hitting who half the time....still great day out though

Up Wembley way pre-game, I’m guessing 16-18 year old Palace fans were causing trouble, trying to start fights and got manhandled by the police. The height of embarrassment.

On train on way back and some Palace fans, between 18-25 y/o on our train, acting like complete cvnts.

Maybe I’m becoming a bit of a moany old man but I’ve never, ever, wanted to see Palace fans get laid out until today.

The lot of them looked as though they couldn’t fight a cold but a few cracks would have been deserved if they came.

I can’t remember being as angry as I was for a very long time. Soured an otherwise incredible day as a Palace fan.

We haven’t just made it through to the Cup Final, we’ve smashed our way there.

Just waiting for train to depart Victoria so a bit of a way yet for me.

I’ve been in dreamland today. Sensational.

If that was the 9.40 to Ramsgate I was on the same train . Just fallen through the door as tired and as happy as Ive been for a long time .
Brilliant performance from everyone ,absolutely spanked a very good Villa side that just had no answers to ollies traps that he set all over the pitch .

Great day , thanks to everyone that are associated with this magnificent club . We are Palace !

Was Dogburger, got back a little while ago and saw the highlights on MoTD.

Agree all round. I’m not sure exactly why but Ollie seems to have Emery and Villas number each time we play them!
