Pope

Just out of curiosity, name some high-profile British Catholics. Living or historic.

Tony Blair, Anne Widdicombe, David Beckham, William Shakespeare, Jimmy Savile, King Charles II*, David Amess (RiP), Conan-Doyle..the author of 'the Norwood Builder', Priti Patel......

any others ?

*wow, imagine having a head of the Church of England who wasn't actually in the club ?
Well Jimmy Savile was amongst like-minded people then. Still, a few Hail Mary's and all is forgiven.

Well, Wisbelch thinks he's infallible and has protection from on high.

"One cannot really be Catholic & grown-up." [Orwell] (Cue Wisbelch with this is not factually correct.)

The Woke Pope has gone to his eternal sleep.
Even by the pretty low standards of comments on this site, that's a pretty derogatory observation.
Thake a look at the life he led and how simple and self effacing that was - very admirable qualities. Indeed, the instructions he left re his funeral and grave bear absolute testament to that. Did he and the broader church make mistakes - yes, of course. He was a human being like the rest of us.
I doubt somehow that these observations might make you reflect but they should certainly be challenged. Anyway, the above is a very different perspective to the numerous posts you have written on the subject of a man wo has just died and is worthy of respect whether you agree with his views or not.

Oh dear someone made a derogatory observation.

If you don't like it....tough.

You could go and tone police somewhere else.
