Arsenal predictions.

Two games coming up in a few days against the mighty Arsenal.
Would hope, given our brilliant form that an away point is possible, even an unlikely win in the league game.
Going for a 2-2 draw.
Regarding the Cup game tomorrow, anything is possible, but feel we have an outside chance of pulling off a famous victory in front of their number one fan,Starmer!! 2-1.

Really depends what team we put out so can’t really comment about the cup match.

Think Saturday could be a draw 1-1.

I'm just looking forward to both matches, especially if we can maintain the momentum. Tonight? Guess they won't put out their best 11 but whether that helps us really depends on who OG decides to rest. I'd like to see a best 11 for the first half then bring on a couple of the youngsters, maybe give one or two old timers an outing as well (eg Ward). We've always been the bridesmaids in this competition, quarters or semi best efforts so far, but it will never have the same cudos as the FA Cup (PLEASE can we have a third crack at ManU?). Impossible to predict so will stick with a narrow one goal margin either way tonight and 2-0 to us Saturday.

Without Munoz, I think we could be in for a torrid time in both games.

Let's be honest. As much as a first ever League Cup Final is very appealing, we are unlikely to get there with the potential semi final and final opponents (Liverpool). Maybe resting players for tonight's game is a reasonable idea. Arsenal might do the same.

I'd settle for a point on Saturday.

Re league cup tonight, last time we knocked out a 'big' premier side in the QF was in 11/12 season 2-1. Clue: Ambrose. Oh we wore yellow that night . . .

As for the league game on Sat, i also am going for a 1-1.

I wasn't brave enough to put up my 1-3 prediction for the recent game on the Sussex coast, so here goes for the two against Arsenal:

Tonight depends very much on how strong a side Arsenal put out. I'm hoping for them to make a good number of changes and am expecting us to put out our strongest fittest XI. If that transpires then I think we'll win by the odd goal.

As for Saturday, I don't think we'll lose. Whether or not we actually manage the win depends on how well we handle their corner routines. I'm going for a 2-1 win to us.

PS. I can dream

Refs decisions bother me. Not the huge ones but all the small ones that stop us being able to play. People are forgetting the way that Arsenal foul us on every attack, yet if we do it, a yellow comes out immediately. Hughes getting booked early on is quite likely and that will be a bit of an issue.
However, the ironic part of football will be us scoring two from set pieces. And them missing a penalty or three open goals. Which would lead more towards your prediction.

Two tough ones to predict. Think Arsenal may well save their best for Saturday's EPL game which means Saka & Odegaard probably scoring against us. But tonight, who knows? Henderson may be rested, Doucoure could come in for Lerma & even Devenny for Munoz. Expect a strong team tonight but predicting a jammy 2-1 win for the Arse on Saturday courtesy of VAR.

I'd actually be worried about the two young lads they're reportedly starting with. They'll have a point to prove - whereas some of the Arsenal regulars' performances have dropped off slightly from last season.

I'm going to go for an entertaining end-to-end match tonight with us winning 2-3, before coming back down to earth at the weekend with a 2-0 defeat.

A lot may depend on who plays this evening but if we play Henderson, and OG seemed to rule out any 'cup team' idea, then on recent form I think he could see us through a shoot -out successfully. Much improved as we've been, I don't see Arsenal letting points go at the Emirates so I'm pessimistic for Saturday. Based on reports of Eze's fitness, I think Nketiah likely to start next to Sarr; e'll be frantic to get his first goal for Palace and start avenging Wright's record.

just seen the team sheet, it's a strong team with a surprise start for Kporha I thought Clyne would get the gig.

2-1 Palace

Palace: Henderson (GK), Kporha, Chalobah, Lacroix, Guehi, Mitchell, Lerma, Hughes, Eze, Sarr, Mateta.

Subs: Turner (GK), Clyne, Ward, Richards, Doucoure, Schlupp, Devenny, Kamada, Nketiah.
