Not any critism of your comment meantm but of course he has lots of work to do. A new system, lots of new players to bed in, for the last two matches he's not been able to field first choice defenders; I mean Tomiyasu/Desasi. I actually think that Ahanor will be first choice soon. One step at a time. All sucessful trainers/teams take time to settle. It's still only 6 matches plus two, won, cup matches. And, if Desasi had a couple more brain cells (ok i called him a first choice above) and Khalili's toe-nail hadn't been offside we would have another minimum 3 points. All the negative comments on the first 10 pages here are over the top IMHO.Brilliant, boys, well done! But the win can’t hide the fact that the manager still has a lot of work ahead of him. The defensive performance was appalling.

I got a bit bored of Palace being safe at the back and limp in attack. Let's beat everyone 4-3 and change our pants after the game. What to make of that.
Against Fulham and today we could have conceded hatloads and yet we have won both games.
We still pushed the full backs forward at 3-1 today and Timber was still breaking forward into the final third.
No closing out of games.
I think we'll have to get used of this under Sage, even if we do get a settled defence.
That's how Sage plays with players committed to going forward.
Roy would have nightmares, latter day Pardew would have loved it.
I remain nervous as a fan who thinks the first priority should be to try for a clean sheet as a platform to get a result.
I suppose in a way the defence were strangers, given that our two most experienced centre CBs were out.How we won that I don't know, how we won that I don't care all I is Palace r'on there way ... worst player for me was Canvot, no attempt to challenge Woods for that header. Defence seemed to be progressing v Leeds, like strangers today, and there was disconnect between defence and midfield. Going forward though we look great, Mateta's injury seems to be going on too long, get him and Saar back in the squad and the attack's sorted, but that defence!!!

Anyone been on the Forest forum totroll themsee what they made of it?

Yes! This is what I refer to - Sage's tactic is to take the game back to its most basic form, the kick about in the park, attack and try to score goals and enjoy the game. Whatever happens it's going to be entertaining!Something ive noticed in all premier games . Lots of poor finishing and ball bouncing about in-between players , Sunday lge stuff

Oh yes he is........I'm sorry but Benitez is a liability too. Tired of fans saying he's the best reserve goalie we've ever had. He's simply not.

Lerma was MotM. Should be playing every game

I thought Julian Speroni and Dean Henderson were the best reserve goalies we've had. Sounds like Benitez did well today after a run of games though.Oh yes he is........

Credit where credit's due. Benitez was immense today. Would obviously still prefer Deano as first choice, but he's definitely earned some brownie points with me 😊
