Leeds vs. Crystal Palace match thread

A good team performance. And a much-needed clean sheet. Khalali was good and bad. He is a work in progress, that’s for sure. Felt Wharton had his best game this season. JSL didn’t get much service but was mostly good.
 
I'm not sure why Khalali didn't cross it into the box with 7 of our players in there and 30 secs on the clock. Then he loses it.

All very odd. I like him but is his decision making needs to be questioned.

Then we have a £35m Nketiah 'one on one' with keeper but bottles it for a 'your problem' pass.

You wouldn't see a Ian Wright , Fowler or Shearer doing that. £35m!!!!!!!!!
 
That was a must not lose after Ipswich. I’d say Lerma should be in ahead of Disas-ter now as I thought he got to absolutely everything when he came on and is a right nasty b**** which the other centre backs aren’t.

Without Disasi, we are on 7 points now. We didn’t concede any stupid chances today either.
 
I don't think any of us forecast a 0-0!

I thought it was our best and most consistent performance of the season and we deserved to win.

7 out of 10 for the whole team, except 8 for back to his best Richards, the tireless Kamada and all action Timber, and 6 for Khalaili who has to improve defensively as he's too easy to get around and positionally unsound.
 
A decent point, a clean sheet, and a far more coherent and solid performance. All that after Europe on Thursday is encouraging.

Timber looks really good. What a signing. And he was the late afterthought?!

We take for granted how exceptional Wharton's awareness is. Twice he responded to a quick turnover (neither of which he could have expected in advance) by immediately playing our centre forward in. The first was the one where their right back did well, the second was when Nketiah got in. For all his rough edges and ups and downs, Wharton is on another planet to the average palace player.

Nketiah should have shot….v v poor decision to play a blind ball instead. Timber was MOM. Strand Larsson should be given away. Pinot can’t start again. At least the defence looked good today after a kick up the pants.
 
We have looked much better today I think. To go to Leeds with the start they have had and be the better team for most of the game is much more than I I thought we might have done. I was predicting a 3-0 loss.
 
Front three has to be Mateta, Sarr and Kamada now. Cannot believe what a donkey Strand Larsson is. And Pino, sorry but he is just not good enough. Looks like we found a little superstar in Timber and Canvot and Richard’s were great today.
 
Entertaining game fairly open, after the Europa win, we showed a lot more confidence. Leeds are were an inform team after thrashing Newcastle, we had the better of the play today.
Give Sage time, its starting to come together.
