Tyrick Mitchell

Thomas Tuchel has no idea what he’s upto to leaving our Ty out

Tremendous season for this young lad , super proud he grew wings after Zaha left

Defensively he has always been very sound but offensively he has really improved. He is much better in possession and is now adding goals and assists to his game. He did everything right to get on the end of Wharton's cross and just a fraction out with the timing of the header otherwise he would have been the match winner.

He went to pieces when he made a mistake against Chelsea in the FA cup and took a long time to come back , but now he has come back even better than ever , how the he'll tuchel didnt pick him I will never know

As a supporter of 60 years I thought nobody could supplant Kenny Sansom as my favourite Palace left back.
Well Mitchell has managed it.

He's not as gifted as Sansom, but he's been at the club for longer, is incredibly consistent , rarely misses a game , and I don't recall any opponent getting the better of him - even the likes of Salah and Saka.
He's an outstanding one on one defender.
He really turns up in the big games as well as the bread and butter matches and he has a great temperament.
Nothing phases him.

The good thing too is that he's in mid 20s and has improved significantly in the attacking side of his game this season.
He's never going to bang them in from 30 yards or whip in a stream of accurate crosses, but he now takes up far better attacking positions and his delivery has improved.
He missed a headed chance yesterday, but he made a superb run to get on the end of Wharton's clever pass.
He hadn't been making these runs until this season.

Agreed.

Mitchell is a machine you wind he him up and off he goes game after game. He rarely if ever loses his temper he is just so bloody consistent Rolex should employ him.

Why England managers don't fancy him I cannot say, maybe he needs a celebrity girlfriend or score a worldy once a season. He just the type of player England need, never let you down.

There must be a problem with my internet here. I looked for 'The Tyrick' in the list below, but couldnt find it.

Google also provides this:
Often interpreted as a modern combination of the syllable "Ty" and the name element "Rick" (which derives from Old Norse or Germanic roots meaning "ruler" or "powerful").

Last week me and my 6 year old son went through the Palace team so he could choose a favourite player. I nudged him gently towards Mitchell. He was delighted today that his guy scored. Coincidentally me and my boys all got the Eagle Wings kit in the post at lunch time today and were all sat about wearing the same kit as Palace. An omen you might say?

I've always been surprised by the amount of unwarranted flak he got by some on here, some fools wanted him gone! - he's one of, if not the, most consistent player in the side, and he doesn't blow his own trumpet, strut, sulk, or pose. A real shining role model on how to carry yourself as a professional football player.
Absolutely he had a bad time after FA CUP against Chelsea , and come out the other end , never could understand the flake plus not playing for England , top class professional ♥️♥️♥️

Always loved Mitchell, I feel like I've watched him grow up.. He's just the sort of player I like, someone who you can't think of not being Palace... The others being Hendo, Hughes and possibly Richards.. I struggle to think of anyone else at the mo. In the Wardian mode, I would say....

Just IMHO..

My 7 year old's favourite is now Mitchell.

Mateta was his first favourite Palace player, followed by Sarr after Mateta's antics in January. He was really down and disappointed after Sarr's sulk this transfer window. Hope Mitchell doesn't let him down, he seems a much better role model!
