Crystal Palace vs. Manchester City match thread

Doucoure played for the youngsters last weekend.
I don't think he's near a first team place in the Premier League at present.
I heard that Franca is available on loan but so far there have been no takers.
Personally I would not want to have to rely on the contribution of either player in the near term.

Don't expect much from this game, I've tempered my expectations for this one and just hope to see promising performances from the new guys to give us some hope that the potential is there to do great things once the team starts to gel. 3-1 city.

Will City start at 8.05 to give our front three half a chance to score a goal, or at least make a chance? If not then this is not really fair.

I am about as chilled as I get with Palace tonight. It’s a free hit. We are in a state of massive change. This is minutes in the legs. Any sort of result or even putting up a decent show is enough for me, which is strange to think for me. But the reality is we have lost our back line, lost our front line, changed manager and have no idea if we will have a new centre back or Eric ninja out of retirement. The joys of Palace.

Ohhh and somebody forgot to tell sky that there are actually 2 teams playing tonight. All that’s missing is Murray’s or Alan Arsenal Smith on co comms.

Still at least that cabbage patch kid looking woman isn’t a pundit tonight

Cherki over Lewis is a significant upgrade in City's lineup. An early goal against and it could just be damage control

I know, when Nketiah scores early, him and Pino will compete for a hat trick, and Strand Larsen will want to get in on the act. Even our defenders will want one each. Obviously unlikely Wharton will score but that's life. We can't have it all.

Let's see how it goes. Strange time to be a Palace fan at the moment, lots of change. Many people are saying sell Munoz and Mateta because they're past their best whilst simultaneously saying we're weak without them! For me the only real downgrade is the lack of Sarr.

Mateta fits better with the Glasner style of play than Strand Larsen but is a wasteful finisher as we witnessed last week. If we can adapt our style Strand Larsen may prove to be as good or better. He has shown signs of being a good finisher.

Tomiyasu has proven quality and Khalaili looks like a great prospect. Disasi is available. Gozo on the bench is a wildcard.

Still, we'll probably lose against Man City because most teams do.

those tablets are working a treat Eagle.

Pretty good chance a Norwegian will score tonight, weirdly optimistic it could be ours, or even an Nketiah goal.

As others have said, free hit tonight. I can take a loss but hoping we see some spirit as we have a starting XI who actually want to play for us.
