We had singers before 2005, block B in the Holmesdale and away fans were always loud. We'll be fine
 
The problem now is that because everyone has got their own seat, mostly long term, you can’t just set up another singing section. Different when there was standing and the ground was half empty. Feel a bit let down by the HF. Surely they’ve always preached support and loyalty no matter what.
Other clubs envy our atmosphere. Now we’re back at square one with the rest of them. We’re now in a position where some of our players don’t want to play for us and our supposed ultras don’t want to sing for us anymore. What’s the f***ing point ?
 
Will be interesting to see how this plays out tomorrow. Surely they already have their season tickets and they aren’t going to just stop singing. Ultimately you can lose the title (and the named organisation which Marinakis has beef with), the black clothes and the megaphone, but surely they’ll still be supporting the club individually if not collectively.

That would be my first instinct too, but we don't know what CPFC Limited have been saying to the HF.

Such antics would invite even more sanctions on us, and from a business standpoint it's likely something CPFC want to avoid. They may have told the HF to "behave themselves" (not how I would word it, but potentially how CPFC would) and that's led to this response.

This is all speculation on my part.
 
So they got fed up of running it as they got older and don't have a succession plan.

It's disappointing and also embarrassing for the club, it's the majority of the fans who will get stick for this.

They may have been the catalyst, but there were around 30k Palace in that ground who to a man (women and child) gave it their all.
I have been frustrated with them for a few seasons now. As another poster has said, the Arthur or blocks A-B will get a song going and they deliberately do not join in and then start their own moronic chant. I actually think the atmosphere has been pretty poor now for the past couple of seasons. However this may be more down to poor home form.

If you then add all the bull s*** that comes with them and their insistence in bringing politics into football, I don’t think they will be missed. (I definitely won’t miss them!)

Football clubs used to be at the heart of the local community, a place where young working class men could come together, bond and escape for a couple of hours. When you're getting 150 mill a year in tv money, who cares, why sell a ticket to a local 16 year old for £20 when you can sell it to a Chinese tourist for £300.

It's not just the clubs, its the whole establishment, they hate the same people who made this sport, Sky care more about how many southern Asians are represented in the game, all tv coverage is more bothered by how many boxes they can tick, the bbc have ruined football focus, I can't remember the last time I watched soccer Saturday.

And they'll all so ignorant to it. Its obviously all down to social media and how people now choose to follow the game and has absolutely nothing to do with the complete woke s*** you have to put up with everytime you just want to watch a game of football.

I haven't got much time for statements that use all those words but say so little.

Is it aimed at trying to get cheap, or subsidised tickets from the club? Is it to avoid legal action from Fattyboombatty up at Forest? Is it to pressure the premier league to change some policy or another?

What exactly is the problem, and what exactly will be different now, and why?

I can't tell any of that from the statement. If they can't even explain themselves clearly then it's hard for me to sympathise.
 
Think they are marmite - you love them or you hate them.

Followed Palace home and away in my teens but then couldn’t always go because of work, lack of money and a young family. Fast forward 40 years, remained loyal to Palace and now enjoy going to home and away games as I have done for a number of years. Can’t help getting old, having more time and money to watch my only team I’ve supported since 1973. So not happy with them calling out ‘old’ people at away games. Kids of today - no respect 🤣
 
They need to take responsibility for the sign they took into the ground. They used underground tactics just to get it into the ground. They disbanding might be a political move to avoid the legal case.
Its a shame but they could get a bit too big for their boots at times.
