Actor from Z cars was a Everton fan and died after attending a match was played as tribute , was looked as a lucky tune for them after winning the lge ,

Bubbles come from local school who's pupils started singing it at west ham games , which was about one of there pupils called bubbles , a number of pupils played for them
 
Was that what all that ‘Can’t help falling in love……’ crap was about then.i just don’t get it. Why. Concentrate on getting as much as you can for Mateta over the next few days.
 
‘Three Little Birds’ but the Timmy Trumpet fast version. This tune has history at Selhurst and this version would be really upbeat for pre-match.

I’ve written a song - ok I pinched the tune but the lyrics are mine - called ‘ South London Forever ‘ - should I send it to the club for consideration ?

It was set in Liverpool and Liverpool FC already had their own song. About all I remember about the programme is that the characters were constantly saying 'appen (perhaps) to show that they were up north, and the East Lancs Road seemed to feature in most of the incidents. And then there was Stratford Johns as the irascible, bullying DI Barlow, perhaps to give some rough realism. Blimey, 60 years ago!

And the outside of the police station was actually Rochester police station

Charlie Barlow's oppo was John Watt and they both left to appear in Softly, Softly. And there was Brian Blessed as PC Fancy Smith out on patrol with his partner Jock Weir. Desk Sergeant Blackett was replaced by Sergeant Lynch.
When it started it was a much grittier view of police work than Dixon of Dock Green provided.
