Have you ever wanted Brighton to win?

Yes, at least twice a season, I hate Chelsea more than I do Brighton, so I hope the weed win whenever they play Chelsea

So would it be more fun to see Brighton fail to qualify for the Conference League by succumbing to Tromso in the far north of Norway tomorrow and the return leg next week?

Or do we want them to go through to ensure they have a fixture overload that will likely hamper their league form? (though that leaves the risk of them winning the Conference League, which has a good probability).

Oooft that is a tough question! I will go with fixture overload. Don't care if they win it. We won it first and in our first season in Europe. 😀

I want them to fail to qualify, although they won't. When we won it their fans told me it was a tournament a League One team could've won, so the less progress they make the funnier it is for me. I even have some Whatsapp messages I can go back to and quote if/when the time comes.

NSC after we won the conference league were slagging off the trophy and competition. Suddenly it isn’t as meaningless. Hope they lose in the semis just so it fucks their league season as well.

Maybe I agree but all the time they are in it I would be worried they'll win it and prove themselves right. Also, the semis is sufficiently far for them to say "we almost won it but the opponents were better". I'd rather they bomb out early. League Cup semis instead if we want to see them fixture fatigued.

Also the biggest Brighton gobshite in my non-league team's Whatsapp chat is posting endless photos of himself in Norway. For context he posts more about Palace than I do. I want to go and 'like' all his photos after Tromso dump them out, as unlikely as that is.

Not that I can remember. However, in seasons where we flirted with relegation I seem to remember wanting our relegation rivals to lose to everyone. Which is slightly different.
Precisely what I was going to say. There were a handful of times in the last few seasons where the likes of West Ham, Ipswich etc to lose would have been very handy only to see they were playing The Scum that weekend.

It really did bring out the schizophrenia in me. Luckily it was mild and I focused on Palace doing their job and winning instead.

The only time I’ve ever wanted Man Ure to win was when they played Brighton and Millwall in respective FA Cup Finals.

I’m a bit more relaxed about the idea of either of them winning it now that we have it in our trophy cabinet!

This! We did it all first so we will always have that over them.
