In his first season we advanced to the FA Cup Semi-Final and finished in 12th place in the PL having finished 14th the season before he arrived.
We were in 12th place when he was relieved of his duties but we did not record a win in his last 11 PL games and in his final game in charge we were defeated 1-0 at Brighton.
I'd limit that to a season of good memories. After that things went downhill a bit. However, some of those slagging him off forget that he was a breath of fresh air after the increasingly sclerotic performances we were being subjected to in the dying days of Hodgson's stewardship.

Same here, I don’t get the hate towards him. Yes it went pear shaped the second season, but after the turgid last couple of years of Roy, especially at home, PV freshened it up for me and re-newed my enthusiasm. We were much more enjoyable to watch and we had a good cup run. We’ve certainly had a lot worse
