Now being reported as a doner deal by a couple of sources indicating he's on his way for his medical having agreed personal terms. Fee not stated with any degree of certainty but thought to be around 30m euros. Time will tell.

I am a bit concerned about the heart issue that blocked his move to Italy.
It does also make a Munoz sale now likely.

The club he plays for is Union Saint Gilloise in Belgium, their owner, non other than Tony Bloom of them on the south coast fame. Makes you wonder.

At the minute ,for some reason the Italians, are setting a very high bar for their medicals , higher than here that is. This is happening to quiet a few deals with Italian clubs.

One of my daughters is a doctor. She says an irregular heart pattern is often not an issue for a sportsman, it's just a case of assessing the form it takes. There's a very good chance it will not be an issue to a footballer. Palace would certainly assess that...you'd hope!
Question though: Is this cover for Munoz or Sarr? The later seems almost irreplaceable for us these days!

it does seem a little strange, however, an irregular hear rate is actually quite common. I've just been diagnosed with one and have never had any issues with my heart.
Between age 10 and 30 played football every week and ran cross country for London.
Italian club's do seem very harsh with medicals.
It could be it's just something that needs to be monitored. Very few players are 100% fit, all must have minor wear and tear issues.
Not sure if we need the player though so that's my biggest concern

I have an irregular heart beat myself and have had for most of my life ( my burden for ectopic beats was over 2000 per hour and a resting heart rate of 25bpm ) . I do agree with most of what you say but look at Christian Eriksen , if it wasnt for his implant he wouldnt be alive today . I had a Pacemaker fitted when i was 55 and well able to run 10k now and a regular gym goer . Playing a football game would be alot more strenuous and stressful. Alot has changed and im sure with monitoring he will probably be okay . Lets hope so .
Looks like a great prospect. The failed medical for Inter is apparently due to Italy having a much higher insurance threshold for certain heart related conditions.
Obviously, trusting the medical side is ok, this is the kind of transfer I think we are all about. Provides genuine competition for wing back and attack.
If they'd agreed a 25€m deal with Inter then I'd imagine it'll be the same for us.
