Ezes pen

Puzzles me why he dances around like Bambi on Ice when he's such a sweet striker of the ball. Just welly it like the disallowed free kick against Chelsea. Unstoppable!

Matt Le Tissier scored 47 of his 48 penalties.
He favoured a corner but on his occasions changed his mind if the goalkeeper moved in that direction.
Alan Shearer hardly missed a penalty,he used to make up his mind and did not change it despite the actions of the goalkeeper.

AJ got a load of penalties - usually just off the middle.

It always worried me when Eza took penalties for us. I just knew he was going to miss it or tap it so the keeper could easily save it. I have the same worries when Sarr takes them!

It was a relief to me to realise he gets up to this nonsense elsewhere too. He drove me mad when he was with us about those penalties where he jumps around like a Lippizaner horse and then misses.

I knew Eze was going to miss , I was critical of his Pen in the charity shield , why he continued to do the same Baffles me.
I remember when after missing up at Newcastle we then had a penalty at home to Forest. After the initial shock that Eze was taking it again ahead of others I think most people expected him to smash it.

When he started that silly run up of his there was a very audible collective groan (you could hear it on the highlights) but he did tuck that one away.

I think this is the only one he’s scored out of his last four taken.

There was a previous reference to Puncheon's penalty. If I remember correctly, a week before Puncheon missed that penalty, one of his ex team mates missed for their respective club (possibly Norwich???) and Jason messaged him to say "do you want me to show you how to take a penalty?"

Given that Punch is now retired, it'd be safe to offer up his penalty coaching to Eze wouldn't it?

When Eze came on I thought of him taking a penalty.

I also thought, don't do the bloody stutter.

All Palace fans were thinking exactly the same. You would honestly have thought someone would have had a quiet word with him and advised to forget the stutter and just run up and hit the ball!

Fashanu was a very efficient penalty taker and in modern times Toney is very good, albeit with an unorthodox technique.
He eyeballs the goalkeeper and toepokes the ball hard and low into the corners.
