Brentford vs Crystal Palace match thread

I'll really be glad to see the back end of the current league season. It's largely been a hard and frustrating watch, with only a few highlights - 3-0 at Viila, 2-1 at home to Liverpool, and 3-1 at Spurs - I can't think of many others though.

I hope everyone has come through that game without any injuries.

In commentary it was mentioned that only Wolves have scored less goals from 'Open Play' this season.
Only 4 PL wins at 'Selhurst Park' in 18 games.
We are however going to compete in the PL next season - unlike W.Ham !!

Yes, we should have put chances away and not have to worry about a Brentford comeback. But what was obvious to me was that Wharton and Kamada were knackered on 65/70 minutes. This allowed Brentwood more room and less shutting down to put us under pressure. Hughes and or Devenny should have been introduced to help out in midfield. Glasner has got this wrong a lot and we ended up luckily getting a point after not taking our chances. Hopefully no long term injuries to our defenders that went off and Richard’s?

Bit annoying because it was a game we should have won before half time. Canvoy just shows bits of inexperience, hope he learns not to wait for a cross to come to him, as he did for their first goal.. In general though a bit more luck, rub of the green, and it would have been three points.
Looks like we got ourselves a Canvoy.

100%, completely agree.

If we do win vs Real Vallecano though, will all be worth it.

The week to week has not made for much fun this year however and I’d like to see it return TBH.

Another set piece goal conceded from.a second ball.
With regard to Johnson and the possible penalty my first reaction was annoyance with him for not playing to the whistle.
Looking at the replay though Johnson nearly had his shirt ripped off.
Salah or Cunha get a penalty there.
That is exactly my thoughts. Ffs Brennan get up, then actually no it should have been a penalty.
We have had some absolute sh!t decisions this whole season. 🤬

I know we made changes today, but yet again we had a game mid week and was always going to run out of steam.
I also think losing Max and Riad caused some panic in the defence.
Would have taken the point before the game but then frustrated as we played some really good football in the first half and should have been clear.

Indeed, our home form has been miserable.

But as you say, we will be in the PL next season, and hopefully our once empty/redundant trophy cabinet will contain the Europa Conference Cup.

I think most teams could say the same , the standard of refereeing since the introduction of VAR has been on a downward curve .
You would think with the introduction of the tech they would be better but somehow they are getting worse ,as is the man watching the video . Its as if its pot luck when an incident happens ,has he gone out for a fag or something ,sometimes it seems they are not there at all ...😕
