If you're able to do this trip all in for less than £500, you've done very well.
I'd agree, but it's the add-ons. Travel to the airport/parking, transport to the hotel/stadium,:beer::beer::beer:
souvenirs, I know I'd get carried away by the moment and the beer, but being realistic you're talking the best part of a £1K, and maybe less if you can share hotel rooms, taxi's etc.

That's why I parked it, hopefully another European final will be a possibility in my lifetime, when I have the money to throw at it!

I'm the same, when phase 3 opens up I will take another look at it - if there is a half reasonable seat deal to be had, something I can do on travel to keep it manageable then Ill go , if not I will watch it down the pub or at SP

When its all done and dusted I'm not expecting (if I get a ticket) to spend any less than I did in Krakow which was just north of £700 which put a dent in the state pension

But its not about the ££££ really its the lifetime memories , the massive games in moments in time ,Figgs marsh , The Racecourse , Edgeley park .......Leipzig its got a sort of ring about it

Left it late to book a hotel in Leipzig so paying through the nose for that, otherwise flying into a different city keeps the cost down. £850 (including getting to Stanstead airport) + ticket and beer. Making a week (ish) of it though, so that's flying Monday and coming back Saturday and seeing some other parts of Germany at the same time. Makes me feel better about spending all the money for a football match 🙂. That's what I keep telling myself anyway.

Somehow I've managed to afford to go to all the European away games (although I couldn't get a ticket for Fiorentina and had to watch it in a pub). My reasoning being I might as well kick the arse out of it as we may never get there again.

I done it by always booking flights while they were cheap, sometimes losing some in the process when the 'other' team went through, always getting the cheapest Airbnb possible (even staying in a tent in Fredrikstad), and not spending much by just drinking duty free whisky or vodka and eating cheaply from bakeries and stuff.

This game is costing the most obviously with the ticket costing €190 and flights £100. Trains are about £80. Airbnb is €50. Need to get some overtime during the summer I think.

I thought they hadn't allocated the tickets yet? My friend's a season ticket holder who can't go, registered the ticket request in my name, but still haven't heard. I'll do one night in Berlin, travel down on the day and one night in Leipzig. Would like to tourist it up a bit but just too pricy. Hopefully can keep it under £500.

I'd probably get the Ferry to Holland, train to Amshterdaaam. Then spend my life savings on hookers and drugs and die happy. Football ? 😀

You can buy neutral tickets now. Palace end tickets go on sale tomorrow. Im thinking of getting one and flogging the €190 euro one to bubbses brother.
