43 Points , we are Staying UP , time to Prep for August in the Prem.

I was there, id just moved down this way and worked in Medway, so tagged along with Gillingham fans from work. Quite an occasion to be fair and a bit of a classic
Tony Pulis their manager at the time. Set up the same way as he did with us fifteen years later.

if we lose every single Prem match we play.

We will still stay up.......

but for, a total of 6 other matches all going against us*.
West Ham winning 3 matches
AND
Spurs winning 2 out of 3 matches.
AND
Leeds, having lost to both Wet Spam and Spurs....going on to get at least a point from the Seaweed.

Forget about Oldham. We are not even vaguely in that territory.
--------------------------------------------

*Assuming Nottm Forest continue to play with their current good Form.

No it’s worse, we’re only 7 points out of the relegation zone now, we had 8 points on Oldham 🤣
Oldham was one club , they played out of their skin. We will benefit if only one of 3 clubs messes up. Include Leeds into that.

If we lose our forthcoming 4 Prem games, we deserve the drop- and i will have no sympathy for signing so many dud new players.

We may be angry with Glasner giving vent to his opinions. But he was correct about us shipping out so much talent. Sarr, Wharton, and whoever else will be gone soon, no doubt. And if we start looking like a Championship team then so be it.

I am not discounting this scenario and to state that I am concerned about our plight is an under-statement.
I have been in communication with some supporters who once relaxed about our situation have reached the realisation that relegation is feasible.
On Sunday we shall either be elated or profoundly worried.

I think I class as one of them😇 anyway it all adds a bit of jeopardy to the mediocrity 🤣

I share your concerns Willo, particularly if Shaktar give us another tough match at Selhurst. An early goal could really inspire them and, being Palace, we could easily buckle.
We have also already lost to Everton after an earlier Conference game this season and we seldom play well against them.
Arsenal play West Ham after we have played on Sunday. Anything other than a Palace win to guarantee safety will surely encourage West Ham to have a real go. And, Spurs play Leeds on Monday.
If Spurs and West Ham both win, and we then lose at City, life could prove very difficult going into our last two matches against Brentford and Arsenal.
I hope I’m proved completely wrong but if a team is capable of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory we all know who it is. And that could make a repeat of the Oldham debacle from all those years ago a distinct possibility.

Will Arsenal still be in hangover mood when they take on West Ham? That game alone might send us to safety, unless Summerville/Bowden have other ideas. Would not be surprised if we produce 4 losses in our remaining PL fixtures, not least due to our 1st half performance on Sunday. Eze, for old times sake, please show up against the Hammers...

7 points from our last 4
Everton and Brentford on the beach, city will have given up and Arsenal will still be pissed 👍🤣

if we suceed in not losing by more than an odd goal on Thursday - the pressure will then be off till the final. Hopefully everyone will then concentrate on Everton. I really want us not to loose to Everton - I really want us to win - if that not asking too much? Please lads make it happen !

The chances are that 43pts is what we’ll finish with. It’s all about West Ham now.
and even if West Ham did turn into PSG, we would need Spurs to also do a blinder. And also Leeds (having turned shyte) to then get something from a strong Seaweed side. Too many permutations & combinations to be in any way realistic.

Almost nobody ever went down on 43 points with an ok Goal Difference.

We will stay up on 43 points.......and go straight to the bottom of the Prem table in August. Relegation in 2027, with or without Glasner. Our new signings are not mustard.
