War in the Middle East

Britain had the bomb well before the Germans. Manhattan merely finished the job.

Anyway Israel is currently ruled by a morally repugnant government but their conduct pales beside Iran with the bomb. On neutralising that threat we can agree.

Btw thanks Trump for publicly criticising us. All rubbish of course as we are undoubtedly feeding tons of intel. But when the terrorism backlash inevitably occurs there is a chance we will be viewed as less of a target.

And attacking us for coming late to a war???
I'd think Mossad would be pretty good at this sort of thing.

Britain did not have the resources to produce an atom bomb. So as usual you are spinning. Every one of our allies thinks Britain has been pathetic in this situation. Only the left defend Starmer’s ineptitude. He is more worried about his job and Muslim votes.

Produce being the operative word. Then neither did the Germans.

The criticism from our allies has been unsurprisingly over amplified by the right.

And his mandate is not just the left and Muslims but - on recent reliable polls - 92% of the electorate. Right and left.

The question thus follows - do you actually believe in the democratic system?

Britain could and did independently produce atomic weapons. The Manhattan project was the fastest way to propduce a weapon and end the war.

"Britain initiated the world's first research project to design an atomic bomb in 1941. Building on this work, Britain prompted the United States to recognise how important this type of research was, helped the U.S. to start the Manhattan Project in 1942, and supplied crucial expertise and materials that contributed to the project's successful completion in time to influence the end of the Second World War."

The Germans did have the resources, but ran out of time.
If you think that Britain is looking good over this, you are nuts.
The electorate think about their petrol prices not the bigger picture.
Sadly democracy gave us the most inept government ever with a total shyster as a Prime Minister. Maybe we have learned our lesson for another generation and do better next time.

**I have zero faith in any of our leaders. TV cameras are increasingly capturing the illegal horrors of conflict. What give the President of the USA the right to bomb and kill innocents. ?
This is batsheit crazy. We have become increasingly desensitised to indiscriminate killing of civilians

** A bit of a moralistic rant. Obviously such comments have no place on an intelligence-based discussion board. 🙂

Difficult to gauge what is going on at the moment. The media is over hyping Iranian attacks on it's neighbours which are militarily insignificant, of course I would not want to be on the wrong end of a drone attack.

Who told you they are militarily insignificant?

Why would the mainstream media overhype Iranian attacks? Given how our media works, don't you think the opposite is much more likely?

The difference is the USA shut the door a while ago. We continue to take in anyone inclusive of haters of us as a society because we are not of the religious group. Don’t be fooled that we will be seen as less of a target. The 5 th legion is already here!

What nonsense. I have not seen any criticism of Starmer’s stance from any ally, other than from Trump. Blair has taken another line, and has received criticism himself. Allies not directly criticising Trump is simply seeking to avoid more damage.

There was no way the UK was ever going to participate in this. Nor should they. Sending help to defend countries suffering collateral damage as a consequence of a war started by Trump on behalf of Netanyahu is responsible behaviour. They aren’t participating in the war itself.

To think Starmer is “worried about Muslim votes” only goes to demonstrate your obsession. He may have, with justification, concerns over an increased terrorism threat but that isn’t the motivation to send warships to provide support.

Here is another interview with Professor Sachs. It’s not for the faint hearted because it is extremely depressing and concerning but because it comes from such an authority it deserves to be taken very seriously.

I just hope those in Congress watch him and do take it seriously.

No, he's not. Neither are any of us.

As a former U.S. ARMY Colonel he is likely to have some significant insights, I would have thought.

I wouldn't accept his views verbatim, but I'd take them more seriously than the BBC, Sky, CNN, etc.

So if all our bases are destroyed then where are the USA launching their attacks from them?
