Spurs Predictions.

We have natural wingers now. And a natural no. 9. A flat back four that plays narrow should be fine. That would be my opinion of it. The full backs can be defensive and the four stay narrow, stop crosses and the central defenders mark the one striker. As no one plays two strikers, there shouldn't be an issue. Our issue has now become midfield in my opinion. We'd have to push Wharton further forward into a creative role but then who goes behind him. 4-2-3-1 is hardly outlandish for us and might help our constantly outnumbered midfield.
I'd say it doesn't work for Glasner as he wants attacking from the full backs. I'd prefer we play more direct and actually use the wingers as outlets. Our fullbacks can't bomb down the wing every game. Yet they are. Even Mitchell will eventually be injured. We're so lucky he has such fitness.
f***ing hell, we might even catch a team out with tactics for once. Glasner could pull a tactical masterstroke. You'd think he'd like that. I wouldn't say always do it but I wouldn't say always do anything. Obviously, current managers would disagree.
Attack Spurs and they won't like it. They are not strong, but watch us give them far too much respect.
Our lack of goals should be a major red flag for the current tactics. Open play? You're having a laugh! What's that.
We're leaving ourselves as probably only really ever being able to achieve a one-nil at best. As we've seen and seen.
Is it too much to ask to use the wingers and use the striker? We'd even have options. Strand Larsen's glancing header should have told us something.
Anyway, I'm making dinner. Meatballs in gravy.
If we sit back this game we will get peppered. If we actually attack this team they will break down mentally especially if we get a early goal as their atmosphere is extremely toxic right now. Knowing glasner we will probably allow them onto us sadly.

Crazy that people on an internet forum seem to think they know which formation we're better suited to than the man who trains with the squad week in, week out!
Every one of the posters with a positive suggestion for the team, applied for the job to be Glasner's replacement. And nearly all of them have been short-listed.
Every one of them an expert, with years/decades of experience, which would eclipse most Premiership manager's portfolios.
I just put it down to your own inexperience that you are 'caught in the headlights', of such footballing luminaries on the HOL boards.
Wait until the next "I told you so" thread at about 10pm tonight. 🙂

Need to take out Conor !
Need Johnson to perform & OG play him in normal possy or we leave him there

1-1 but I hope 0-2
SL & Munoz

Seems like a lot of non palace are backing us to get a result here. Just cant understand the sentiment to be honest. We are crap
well we are in better form than them, we have six away wins and they have only two at home, and Tudor took only two games to fall out with his players whilst Glasner took a lot longer to piss off everybody. Having said that, I share your pessimism

There will be many empty seats tonight but that won't help us much.

Johnson is rumoured to be unhappy whether with his form or the way Palace play but tonight would be a good time to show what he's got.

One thing we desperately need is to take our chances but whether we can contain the Spurs attack without Lacroix is debatable. A draw would be acceptable.

Lacroix's absence is a body blow. Canvot is very inexperienced and has been prone to costly errors. Riad after a lengthy absence has understandably looked less than assured and Clyne is in the 'twilight' of his career.
I cannot look beyond a Tottenham victory.

Clynes on the bench....leave him alone! Haha

I know they're s*** but previous experience of teams playing badly suddenly kick starting their season with a result against us is what im thinking will most certainly happen. We dont score many and the longer that happens the more confident they will get.

2-1 Spurs unfortunately 💩
Yes, I think that's right. Our back three look callow. Spurs will certainly score, perhaps several times. So we have to score more than they do.

Lacroix's sending off torpedoed our chances this evening. Had he been available, a draw would be entirely possible. A night when Wharton really needs to show what he's made of.
