Well, the question of veracity could be posed of all political parties when it comes to manifestos, over the years, I think.

Sure, but you don't seem to be calling for elections if parties don't carry out their main promises do you.

I mean some of those promises may be impossible or maybe to be charitable events happen to stop them that couldn't be foreseen (in most cases it won't be).

The point being that all veracity at some point has to meet with the compromise of the possible.

Except for liars of course, which is almost a requirement for politicians.

However, if, for example, I voted for a candidate who was then elected I wouldn't be happy in the slightest if they defected to another party; quite the opposite. There should be a by-election, in my opinion. No matter which party.

It's an opinion....it has some credit but as all parties have done it I don't think it's ever going to happen and to be honest it's not that practical.

As I said, if people have an issue they get a vote soon enough anyway.

I've asked very specific questions of the OP and am waiting for specific answers to the question I've asked.

There may be many who read these threads but aren't regulars and it's a bit much to ask everyone to trawl through all previous posts looking for answers.

Much better for any readers of this thread to see the 'manifesto, see who supports it and why and any questions that need asking of them.

You have to bear in mind that not everyone is locked to their computer all day, every day and might appreciate some answers.

There is far too much emotionalism around this.

I hope that some common sense is restored in time for the election. There is only one right wing party who can form a government. Restore Britain will be a protest vote. It won't make a scrap of difference to the trajectory this country is on other than helping to maintain it.

Using the Navy to police the Channel.
No welfare for anyone entering illegally.

You need a third country to agree to accept deportees. You can’t just dump them. Why would they do that? Only for large payoffs? For thousands who would then leave and turn up on our shores again?

Using the Navy achieves nothing. We aren’t at war. The Navy are as subject to the laws of the sea as every other mariner. Those in peril must be helped. They would just end up assisting boat people to our shores.

We don’t pay welfare to those entering illegally. We provide support to asylum seekers whilst their claims are processed.

We cannot ignore the ECHR. We can only withdraw from it. The idea that this is a silver bullet that would enable us to do whatever we want is nonsense. We would still be bound by UN conventions and the Good Friday agreement could be threatened. Nothing is that simple.
