Labour Party politics

A survey of Conservative members in early October suggests that swathes would be happy if the leader of the party made an agreement with Nigel Farage to "work together".
I am certainly NOT defecting to Reform, I shall continue to wear my blue rosette with pride.
Defection is not necessary, just a joint effort.

Very admirable this going down with the ship sinking malarky. It must be a bit lonely for you. 😆

The Labour mantra is "The 14 years of Tory rule" etc etc etc.
We were elected FOUR times during that period.
Well done. Nothing to do with no viable opposition then. Liebore will be ousted, Tories are toast, Reform will be the next Govt, but what mess will they inherit? You constantly regale Reform for no policies, waffle, false promises, didn't the Tories(& liebore) do & still do the same? Us old gits won't set the future the kids see what's going on & they don't like it. 2 party system is dead & it's a long way back for you both.

Our views on the Conservative Party are not aligned.
The way to rebuild credibility is not to indulge populist economics like Reform, but to uphold the principles expressed by Kemi Badenoch at 'Conference' that have guided Conservative policy for decades ie sound money, prudence, and responsibility.
Conservatism succeeds when it is honest about reality and brave enough to face it. The alternative, the populist delusion that we can spend more, tax less, and still balance the books, always ends in crisis.

I shall now concentrate my efforts on today's match thread.

Hmm, you have contradicted yourself in this post. You, the Tories, like Liebore have always indulged in "populist economics" for decades, that's how you both got into power. Now, there is a 3rd kid on the block & neither Liebore nor the Tories like it, they will steal your thunder & both parties will be left floundering in the flotsam of sinking ships.

And still managed to f*** it up 😂
We faced our challenges of course, and made mistakes but I do not accept your characterisation of our 14 years in Government.

it doesn't matter who is in power the Civil Service is still there to f*** it up get paid their gold plated pensions and pick up their knighthoods.

Thanks you Sir Humphrey.

This government's sheer incompetence is unbelievable. Both my papers today headline with this story. To compound the situation they have simply failed to collect £46m from two companies providing accommodation. They appear to have no awareness of how badly the immigration of illegals is impacting our country.

If I was silly enough to buy yesterday's news in a newspaper owned by a multi millionaire with an elitist rich agenda then we might agree. In fact I would metaphorically swallow the paper hook line and sinker. No wonder they refuse to wrap fish 'n chips in such garbage it sullys an otherwise Great British product.

This gross in competence has come from this and the preceeding government. To use the word " demand " for the rooms is misleading, it implies this is some kind of consumer issue.

The fish wrapping comment is pure drivel

Labour are just incredible.
Having voted against and shouted down the thought of using old barracks and other government buildings/land for illegal immigrants when the Tories were in power, they are now going to do it themselves.
I am 100% behind the idea but I hate politics because of it.
The situation would have been better today if this had happened two years ago and we would be the richer for it.
They will take the plaudits while conveniently forgetting that it wasn't their idea and that they voted it down while in opposition.
I just detest them all - absolute wastes of space at every level.
They also conveniently forget that when they house these guys out in the community that it will cost as much as the hotels did - rent and other benefits, so we save nothing at all overall.
Gaslighting liars who just think that truth is something to be ignored.
