Glasner is a Glazier

The next time I see a bookie out on the streets of Croydon i'll put a fiver in his pot.
New manager bets are heavily swayed by who the average punter puts money on. Which mainly emanates from press rumours - so I guess the bookies do fine on it. I'm not sure I ever got a Palace one correct. A couple of times, I was pretty sure we'd get Moyes or Dyche. I don't think I ever bet on it however. I don't think anyone except Textor had money on Glasner.

This! Why should he leave now for ManU now? The cards in his hands are currently getting better and better each day just like magic. He competes in a European competition where chances are good to go far. His family lives now in London with him. And he is surely not the guy who does everything for additional money. Add to that that he has still some years left as a manager to go to a bigger club, so surely not in a hurry to do so now at all expenses. A move to ManU now would be utter madness.
That sounds positive that his family are now living in London.
I think the best way for Steve to keep Glasner is to back him and keep the Team together to try and qualify for champions league football next season. If we achieve this I think he's the type of person that would see it as unfinished business and want to stay and carry on, even if it's just for another year and may even help to sway Marc to stay on aswell.

Quite a big ask dont you think

Yet another video on YouTube extolling the virtues of our manager and his successful tactics. YouTube seems to be flooded with these videos and I've never known a time when we've garnered so much coverage due to our performances.

The spotlight is being aimed at Ollie with glaring clarity and although it feels complimentary, it also somehow feels like we're under threat.

Agreed, I certainly don't think it will be easy and losing players won't make it easier.
We should have a better idea by xmas (transfer window) if this is in fact realistic or not. After this we'll need luck with regards to injuries but I believe we have a team good enough to challenge for a spot.

Glasner would be mad to join United. They are a club in crisis. We actually have a better squad and a better chance of winning something this season.

If money is a factor, which is usually is, then we should match anything United offers. The only thing they can offer beyond that is their name.

Future success would be expected and the turnaround for their current squad to a winning one would be two or three seasons.

I don't think Glasner will be short of offers at any stage in the near future. We just need to find the players he needs to progress.

Did you see Arsenal and Man City's bench last night? Different gravy.

Teams like us do not finish top 4. We might do well but then fall away towards the end due to squad depth. It is all about resources.

That said - Leicester. It's the hopes and dreams that make this supporting lark worthwhile.

This is the best we have ever been as a club on and off the pitch. We are currently one of the most watched and one of the best sides in Europe. In a way, it's scary. Not used to it! But I don't want it to end. We can have even more if this brilliant man stays with us. He is the greatest manager in the history of our club.

That's it.

His money is already up there (I suspect there is room for an upward revision, LVs, discount card at Chicken Cottage etc.) and he and his family appear settled. However, he has form for walking if not "backed".

I would hope he is a realist and would not flounce if Guehi went. Indeed, I suspect he is resigned to it. However, he made it clear he needs to have a ready replacement; and Palace sacking the deal with Liverpool because there was not one went some way to demonstrating being backed by the club - even to its considerable loss.

I would hope the club is working tirelessly to recruit someone like Diomande to replace Guehi and making Glasner aware of any progress. It is all about support or perception of support. While his star is in the ascendance, he needs to be treated very well.

He would be, however, the club still holds a draw. I find it hard to understand whey players are still going there, but they are.

Lets hope Glasner wants to see how we get on this season first.

Just watching SSN and Kaveh Solhekol has just said the following (paraphrasing):

"I understand that Crystal Palace have held positive talks with Oliver Glasner about the future of the club and that talks over his future are expected to ramp up next week during the international break. The relationship with the club is really good and he's happy there but he wants reassurances over the clubs ambitions to build on what they've already achieved."

Appreciate SSN talk a load of bollocks but fingers crossed they're right on this occasion.

We're getting a new stand then.
