I grew up in Coulsdon, south of Purley, so always had a soft spot for you. {I was gutted when you didn't win in '90 when IWWW scored two. Thank you so much for him, btw.}

Just watched the highlights of today's game - were they an accurate reflection cos it looked like you could have been 4 up at HT?}

Thank you for getting Eddie his second cup winner's medal - here's hoping you get him more, including in Europe.

Always loved Eddie, and after today's last minute winner, I love him even more.

But you've shown everyone that the Scousers are beatable, and not just from a fluky goal. Looks like you played them off the park in the first half. And even if they do win it, they won't take our invincible record from us.

So chuffed for you. If I had any eagles in the garden {instead of our seagulls here in Margate} I'd buy a piece of steak to give them. And fillet steak at that.

Let's hope this inspires you to go on a run that sees you win every game this year {other than against us at the end of next month} and the Scousers to totally implode down to the relegation zone.

I think our performance adds weight to the criticism of Arteta being too negative in the big games
 
Yup, then chuck in an Ian Wright song we never sang and the transfer that led the break up of our best team at its peak, leading to decades of shite. He can f*** off the ignorant t***.

I've had season tickets in the family since about 1948. All four grandparents and both parents from Islington. Only moved to Purley and the Coulsdon in the '60s.

My first three matches in the '79-80 season when I was 8 were draws against Ipswich and Forest and an FA Cup final defeat to second division West Ham.

So that's hardly being a glory hunter, is it?

All the glory hunters followed the Scousers back then. I'm a born and bred Gooner.

Come on, if you moved to somewhere else - I dunno, Manchester or Margate or wherever - you'd bring your kids up to follow the Palace, wouldn't you?

I have many faults, mate, but being a glory hunter isn't one of them. Can you remember how bad we were under Don Howe in the mid-80s? There weren't much glory at Highbury back then.

Well, they were doing a lot better than Palace my fair weather friend.

Arsenal finished 6th in the 1983-84 season (after Howe took over as caretaker in December 1983), 7th in 1984-85, and 7th again in 1985-86.

You should be in the Europa after winning the cup and you're second in the table, so you're no mugs.

But after spending over £200m this summer, and buying Eze, Madueke and Gyokeres, why do we go to Anfield ad play for a 0-0 when you show that if you attack them, you can rip them to shreds?

{If we don't win one of the two big ones this year, we could be in for your manager next summer.}

Given Arteta's spent £1bn, and the quality of the players we have, why can't we at least try to play like you did today?

{Maybe he'll look and learn from your performance and the match at the end of next month will be a cracker. But I'm starting to think that at heart, he's more defensive-minded than Georgie Graham was, and that 1-0 to the Arsenal is his dream scoreline.}

For some reason, it didn't feel like it at the time. I guess Sperz winning two cups on the bounce, then ManU twice in 3 years, with LFC winning 4 League Cups on the trot, and then Everton winning titles and many English clubs winning in Europe while we played shite may have had something to do with it.

Most kids at my school didn't really follow football back then - it wasn't really on the telly. But everyone in the playground knew we were s***.

Anyway, I'd love you to win the ECL with some matches that will forever live in the memory. Most of our European campaigns have been utter f***ing disasters, but even in those, we sometimes had games that will forever be part of our folklore.
