Rayner

Probably land up as a back bencher for six months at the very worst. It will not be a sea change in politics. It would be nice to see a few by-elections and see the Reform Parties support evaporate as they are a one issue party led by a rabble rouser who starts a fight and leaves others to see it through.Hilariously he is married to a German lady perhaps he thinks her deportation won't cost as much as a divorce! 😆 😈😆
Mrs Farage is a legal migrant who probably has British Citizenship, not like the illegal economic migrants Farage ( and a high % of the population) want rid

She wasn’t a Polish tradesman living in a 3 bedroom house with 10 other Poles. Nor was she an HGV driver vastly undercutting British drivers, or any other industry.

A aside - The lack of lorry drivers after Brexit would never have been a problem with support to get people trained. That now happens. Poland has lots of lorry drivers because of army HGV training.

Good riddance. Perhaps I can call her Labour scum.

It's quite clear from the review that she chose not to take proper tax advice although advised to. Maybe she genuinely made a mistake but nowhere did the review or her personal statement refer to the dodgy valuation of her house double that of the properties in her road. Somebody needs to investigate that to see if it was a fair valuation. If it wasn't that is fraud and not just a mistake.

The BBS is holding a national day of mourning and whataboutary with Farage and certain Tories tax affairs under the microscope.

Whilst I think their defence of her (single parent mother at 16 brought down by right wing Press) is rubbish I do agree that other MP's tax affairs should be investigated. The media is also glossing other the fact that Raynor had a court order blocking disclosure and discussion of her tax affairs, why? Protecting the family is a poor excuse why was she granted a court order in the first place.

In Norway everyone's tax affairs are a matter of public record so you can look up how much your neighbour earns if you want to. I think the same thing should apply over here.

So you like how the Norwegians run their country then?

Well,Farage and Reform are changing the goalposts on a regular basis, she will probably get thrown out in a later purge. Have Reform any other subjects that they are interested in or is just immigration?

So, Rayner's gone. Quite right.
Now Lammy is our deputy PM - he who thinks Henry Vll succeeded Henry Vlll.
From bad to worse.
But, what I'd like to know is: where is David Milliband in all this? Looks like we'll still have the countryside covered in windmills and solar farms. Horrid prospect.
Perhaps she is tempted to join the other lefties, Sultana and Corbyn, and defect to the 'Fruit and Nut' party.

If Rayner does, then she will bring the TU's with her. I suspect not though. Key to this all is where Rayner lands next.

Maybe a resignation, sticking it to Labour with a by-election it will lose (badly) before ending up in an NGO role? Maybe even heading up a Union?

Suspect we ain't seen the last of Ms Rayner.

She needs to be careful though she's got some big bills to settle

‘the public are furious with those who get away with tax avoidance while they pay!’
A. Rayner 2017.
When you're right, you're right.

Which is why I suspect she might resign, then go for the big bucks. Like all of them, if she does, then its always worth keeping an eye on the lecture circuit they embark on. That is where the pay-offs for favours already done kicks in.

She might as well, because she won't be an MP in 2029.

What she has done should disqualify her from being an MP as of now.

That's one more member than the Tories who are shrinking weekly.
Only last night, my dear wife and I were imbibing in a local Public House when we were joined by a chappie we had not seen for many a month. He proceeded to inform us he was a supporter of Reform and made strident accusations of the 'Death' of the Conservative Party.

The 'Red mist descended', I went 'Studs in' (Metaphorically) and we had a full and frank discussion with me making my views known with some asperity and with at times a raised voice and finger pointing. I not only supported my party I was critical of Nigel Mirage and Reform. My 'Better Half' had enough of my ranting and told me in no uncertain terms to adopt 'Mute' mode as she never ventured out to be subjected to such vitriol.
There was no ill-feeling between myself and the gentleman but I doubt he will gallivant down a similar alley in my company again !

If only because she has some very big bills to pay 🙂

Let's hope your dear wife is willing to give you another chance. How awful for her to endure the company of a couple of rutting stags, on what was meant to be an enjoyable social outing. 🙂

Yes some aspects of their lifestyle.

It may surprise you that I have no problem with their generous welfare system. The reason being is it is not means tested so if a banker is made redundant he gets benefits unlike here where they tax you but then tell you sorry you don't qualify. I'm surprised that labour haven't picked up on that.

Northing worse than paying high rate tax for most of your working life and then when you are unemployed told you get diddly squat.

You would probably be as surprised as myself when i found out the number of MP's with restrictions on company activity, and criminal records. Neither of which precludes you from standing/taking office.
Look at Precott tw atting that guy who egged him. 🙂

I don't blame Prescott for that, but criminality should most definitely disqualify you from standing.
You can't even get into some countries with criminal convictions.

Although you can if you come here on a dinghy.

I thought tories were happy to accept other opinions and especially one as learned as yourself Willo. Clearly something truthful was muted and the red mist descended. I think you should break bread with this chap and let bygones be bygones. After all reform are a form of conservatives compared to the labour rubbish we have now. If you had to choose which would you prefer in power from the two if you had to?
